G05 X5 door guard trim ?
I am looking at something to protect my door from dings.
i really liked the horizontal molding on my e70 X5, they were very effective at taking the hit when someone opened their door into my car. they were covered with chip but the rest of the door were flawless. I am looking at these https://www.sportwing.com/FE-BMWX5-1...xoC__8QAvD_BwE anybody has any experience with that product ? or somethign similar ?

Pass. The only thing worse than worrying about a possible door ding is living with an antiquated molding strip that was never effective to begin with and an eyesore every time you approach the vehicle. I'd rather live with a ding than an oddly placed after thought molding.

I just have no paint, dent removal coverage. If I get a door ding, the dealership fixes it under the warranty for five years.
I never had issues until I bought my 2019 X3 and then I had five within a year, people must hate BMW’s! That convinced me to take the coverage on this car. |

The paint on the molding looks better than on the doors. Holy.
