One thing about keeping the valves open all the time is your cold starts will be WAY louder this way. I have the Dahler exhaust valve controller and if i force the valves open during cold starts its easily 2-3x as loud.

Confirming that the Dinan Xpipe works with the Akra rear section perfectly. I'd say it increases the volume by 15-20% overall. Keeps the exotic tone but just more of it. Any competent shop can install this in under an hour and thats taking their time.

Not sure if it is just the photo or if those clamps are so close together that it may cause some knocking or clanging.

I thought the valves were open already on cold starts?

Please post sound clips

Its just the angle of the pic. part of why i took pics is to make sure I could review things like this afterwards.

I thought so too until i got the exhaust valve controller installed. If i press the open valve button during cold starts the volume increases by at least 50%

I'll try to get clips this weekend but the iphone never seems to capture it accurately.

Were there any issues tightening the clamp to the OEM secondary pipes?

No issues. At least i didn't see the mechanic struggle or spend extra time there.

Anyone have the size or good recommendation for replacement band clamps. The set for front and X connection are not great and have minor leaks. When really tightened down they either warp in odd way or the bolt heads bottom against the clamp side.

Could be way better from factory

Interesting. I would have to re-check mine. I do noticed that after installing i feel more "rumbling" inside my car while the car is idling.

Mainly when cold start, seems there is some pipe expansion. I replaced 2 of the bolt sets with flange one and its better but the metal of the band is touch low qual. Different levels of stretch across the whole set.

The rear connectors to the Stock exhaust seem fine, just the other 4

I am assuming a good set of 3.25 inch id or whatever the true dia is would work but was wondering if anyone had the actual dimensions before i remove it again.

Thoughts appreciated

Soonish (early October is my best guess). Waiting on a window for one of the tube benders to free up and tooling can be changed, etc.

Did anyone tried Full decat both primary and secondary cats as downpipes + dinan Xpipe then other part of exhaust stock ?

I have Full decat + GPower exhaust which has a mid section with resonator but I get drone at low rpm in highway speeds so I am thinking in changing mid section with X-Pipe and rear end of exhaust stock exhaust so that way I get less drone and big noise since using XPIPE makes lots of difference.

I know we spoke on coming up from Destin to you guys so we can test fit last year, but I just haven't had time to submit my vehicle to the cause.

Has anyone been there to test fit yet so we can see if the X-Pipe will work on the LCI? If not, I might just order and be the test dummy.

Nope, no volunteers, so we ended up buying our own a couple weeks back.

Does not. Tis going to require a bit different pipe as the connection method to the DP's differs between the S63 (clamp) and S68 (gasket).
