0-60 Time X5 M60i

I was out in the country yesterday so finally got to use Launch Control. Only did once but managed 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, which is .6 seconds faster than BMW states.

Not entirely sure how accurate since I just downloaded a timer on my iPhone (GPS Race Timer)

Anyone else clocked their M60?

You need something more precise. "Dragy" or "Racebox Pro".

3.5 is outstanding but a Draggy would be a better choice of timer.
Your 3.5 could be spot on or quite close as Car and Driver timed an X7 M60i at 3.8 seconds 0-60 and that vehicle is around 700 lbs heavier.
Our 2022 Macan GTS tuned to just under 500HP with Cobb Accessport has shown to go in the 3.5-3.6 range and I can tell you that my '24 M60i in stock form with 1,400 miles "feels" faster.

Anyone know if launch control events are logged into the vehicle's data?

Not sure if they are logged or counted in any fashion but keep in mind that using launch control rarely yeilds the optimal acceleration metrics.
Better to power brake 2500-3000, let off brake and rock.

I'm gonna try to get another 0-60 tonight when it cools off. 3.5 stock is unlikely but with a tune that's about what I expect.

It is 90* right now in Naples just south of you. Overnight low here will probably be 77*.
Some 50* temps would give you some nice #s. We don't see that very often here.

Use the highest-octane fuel you can find locally, and ideally without any ethanol in it (while the alcohol can raise the octane level, per volume, it has about 10% less energy than gasoline) to get the highest possible power output of your engine.

With the 1ft rollout time added, it's actually 4.0 seconds flat from a standstill. Very amazing time for the X7 M60i. We can safely assume, the X5 M60i can reach 0-60 in sub 4 seconds.

Comparing to the C&D test of the X5 M50i, it got 4.1 seconds from a standstill.

The one foot roll out is and has been the industry standard for producing this metric for some time now. There is no secret to this and no need for you to make your corrections to an accepted standard.
The 0-60 metric for the X7 M60i is 3.8 seconds by current standards. You are more than welcome to add .2 seconds or 5 minutes to that number but it is 3.8 and can be compared with other 0-60 times that are generated by these accepted standards.
If you want to add 0.2 seconds to every 0-60 time reported go right ahead.

They are not logged per se into the vehicle's data but the ZF transmission has a counter on launches. Hit that number and the transmission is less aggressive for upshifts during a launch.
