This weekend I bought a used ’07 E90 335i, I already am in love with the engine, to deepen this love, I consider buying a JB3. To buy the correct version of JB3, I need to figure out if I have Progman <29.2 or >=29.2. If I walk into a dealer to ask them to check my Progman version, wouldn’t that be like waving a flag ‘Hullo I’m going to use a warranty voiding tune in my car’. Anybody can recommend a dealer around NYC?

I can avoid this risk if there’s somebody with a sensitive butt dyno also with experience with both pre and after 29.2 around NYC to drive a couple of WOT in my car to estimate if I’m pre or after 29.2 that should do the trick also.

If you have Navigation with iDrive, I've heard that if your background is brown, then you have the pre v29.2 software. Not sure what color the background is for v29.2 though, so ask around...
