Thanks mate.

Is that going to be the case for VO coding LCA as well as enabling ADV?

It's not the version of esys that is the issue.

Launcher Pro 2.8.2 does not have FDL mappings for the G05.

You need to get a paid launcher pro 3.x or esysx.

You don't need a launcher to VO Code, just use esys, which is fine for LCA.

3.27.1 should be fine, but no harm in using the later version. I use 3.34.0.

You can't VO Code ADV but could use bimmercode if didnt fancy buying esysx or battling with tokenmaster for launcherpro.

Edit: Well technically you can VO Code ADV but only if you have a Japanese build car.

So what version of esys is required for ADV if not using bimmercode? My eaglesrest guide indicates 3.33.4 and I used esysx and assumed that it was required since it’s listed as such.

On LCA we couldn't find the SASx module to code, but that's a separate issue. Here we were trying to enable the ADV view in the instrument cluster.
As stated you can VO Code LCA by removing 8TR from your FA, and VO Coding SASx, BDC BODY (7083) and HU_MGU.

You couldn't see SASx as you didn't have the engine running when you did Read ECU.

3.33.4 is recommended but not mandatory. 3.27.1 should work fine. I'd use the later version personally, but upgrading esys won't fix his issue.

The key issue is Launcher Pro 2.8.2 is the free version that TM released in a strop. Its old and doesn't have the newer psdzdata mappings used on the G05.

Thanks for the replies across both threads mate...in short I should look to upgrade my esys and use with an alternative launcher, but for LCA itself I should be fine if I have engine running while reading the ECU?

Yep you can VO Code LCA now. You'll see SASx, and other engine running dependant ECU, appear in the list.

LCA is a way better feature than ADV anyway

Hi brother, I would like to ask how to activate the G05 driver advanced view. Can you share the code?

Use bimmercode or you can PM me. I have a cached copy of eaglesrest’s instructions.

Hello, I know this is not my forum, but I have a 118i with manual transmission, I have Driving Assistant and Cruise Control with brake function, I have activated as you said the ADV in the instrument panel and it appears to me to select it on the screen idrive, but I don't have the two buttons on the steering wheel, does the ADV still work? or will only the view be shown in the instrument cluster?

I know nothing about 118 iDrive or anything else about 118, but a) ADV itself is just the view (V in ADV stands for "view" ;-), and b) it sounds like you have the requisite assist functions optioned on the car, so I don't really understand how you could not have the buttons needed to control it. ???

Also, if you intended to attach a picture, it didn't seem to go through, can't see anything.

Ah, those are follow minimum distance controls used by adaptive cruise control. A bit weird that your model doesn't have that, but that's all those are.

Update: Actually, sorry, that's not a pic of your car I guess so the following original comment doesn't particularly apply: "On the other hand, you don't have the Assisted Driving Mode and On/Off buttons either, so it doesn't look like your car has the equivalent of Assisted Driving Plus/Pro faculties. So I am surprised that ADV is available and useful for you, but who knows what BMW is ever thinking."

Below is what mine looks like.

- cheat files are actually handled by launcher, not directly by ESys, although the launchers incorporate its use into ESys; as such, how cheat files are handled is not the same between Launcher Pro and ESysX; ESysX can only handle a single file at a time, configure in setup
Is it still the case that eSysX can only handle one xml cheat sheet at a time? I’m just getting started and I’ve got a folder with a dozen or so XML files. Thx!

Yes. Improving that is a feature requested a few times. In the meantime, you can combine the desired xml files manually into one.

If someone did this already, could we maybe share this somewhere?

Haha! that's exactly what I was planning to do if this was the answer I got. I love a good workaround

Sorry - can you advise how to code ADV with bimmercode (iOS if it matters) ? I've been searching around for an hour and can't find with expert codes to use

was also hoping to disable the speedomter correction and enable the additional Sport mode... most everything else I've figured out.

Thanks

Search the forum. There's several threads discussing the pros and cons of the different types of adapters.
