Would you mind writing out what you got total? I'm in the process of ordering a 45e as well. I am looking at $2,500 APR credit + $1,000 loyalty. I need to check on that extra 500

I bought my X5 last weekend and got the $3500 military credit from the BMW website. The BMW Financial discount $500 didn't offset the APR difference.

Your description is not clear. Can you describe what incentives you got. There is no $3,500 military incentive available. It is either $3,250 when not using BMWFS for financing/leasing or $500 when you finance/lease with them.

i agree w/TurtleBoy.

1) while BMW mentions military incentive on their site, it does not come from them but rather TrueCar (requires separate registration and offer code, which maxes out at $3250 for the X5, not $3500)

2) do you have your figures mixed up? i've seen $3500 discount if financing through BMWFS, which decreases the max military incentive from TrueCar to $500 (can't get both $3500 BMW discount and $3250 TrueCar military discount, but $500 is better than nothing!)

#1 is not correct/complete. The military incentive ultimately comes from BMW. It used to just be administered by USAA but since they dropped their car buying service it now can be done in three different places, BMW web site, PenFed and TruCar.

I went back and looked...$3250 military discount plus $5k off MSRP was my deal.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but can you use the $3,250 for military with a credit union that is not PenFed? In other words, can I use the $3,250 with my local credit union?

I’ve read a couple of threads on this, and my understanding is also that you can indeed get the $500 in addition to loyalty and APR. I am too far from delivery to find out myself, but it seems at least some people have had success stacking this way. That doesn’t mean that all dealers are aware of this, but I plan on pushing when it gets closer to my late Feb pick up.
haha totally! Clearly, this is confusing not just to me! I saw that ($500 + loyalty) on other threads as well, but was confused about the BMW site and how it was explained there. I am hoping I can include the $500 on top of loyalty and APR. We'll see
My experience was it just wasn't a thing when financing with BMWFS. When doing a lease with BMW there really isn't a military discount. With that said, they would be hard-pressed to not throw you a bone when you mention your military service. 500 bucks seems a little meager, they gave me 1000. They advertise with it, so they should honor it with something substantial.

BMWNA contact

So...if my dealer is balking/uncertain of this (despite all of the screen shots I've showed him with the amt/details/my offer code), does anyone know WHO/WHAT DEPT at BMWNA I should ask my dealer to contact?

Thanks!

More than likely BMWNA will not do anything since they are independent businesses but one thing going for you is that it is for a military discount and they may try to help. I would call the corporate offices and see what they suggest as to who you should contact.

Your dealer has a direct contact at BMW that they use for this type of support. They know what to do and just aren't giving it to you.

I don't understand your dealer's reluctance to give you the incentive, I was under the impression it was from BMW and not the dealer.

I would walk if they wouldn't give it to me, they likely won't care but it would be the principle of the thing.
