X5 G05 2019 gap between wheel and wheel arch is more in the front
Can anyone please help what could be possible reason for X5 G05 2019 gap between wheel and wheel arch is significantly more in the front compared to rear? Air suspension seems to be working ok when I lower or rise the car. However the gap between wheel and arch is always more gap in front and less gap in rear. Is that normal or something wrong?
Attached photo. Many thanks in advance for any advice. Last edited by gtx2010; 03-18-2024 at 04:48 PM.. |

My 2021 with air suspension looks to be fairly even. I trust you are on level ground? The car will try to level itself a bit of parked on an incline.

Auto level of air suspension don’t level again true horizontal plane. It tries to “level” to the ground grade if you will. So wheel gap should be more or less independent of ground’s level.

Can you check xdrive screen to see if car is level? Assuming your group is also level.

Just noticed something today, when I park the car and lock it only rear suspension goes down automatically and I can hear and see this happening. Front doesn't go down. Hence the bigger gap on front then rear. Is this supposed to happen?

Mine doesn't automatically lower when parked. If you raise it lower yourself, does it do it evenly?
