BMW X5 2019 Idrive Screen Scratched

Hey, I was recently cleaning my idrive screen on my BMW X5 2019, and I think I’ve scratched the anti glare coating on the screen, and I don’t know how to get the scratches off, I need help quick as it costs over 8k to replace the whole thing. Are there any products to help fix it, this is urgent, thanks

What did you use to clean it to make it scratch like that?

I don't think there is anything you can do unfortunately to fix that. What you can do is buy a tempered glass screen protector which would hide the scratches?

It's not really 'urgent' is it. You know you've done it, it's not going to magically get worse on its own unless you've cleaned someone else's car and are trying to cover your mistake before giving it back to them

Can you feel the scratches with your fingernail? Try removing the marks with a microfiber cloth.

Otherwise, as has been mentioned, this is a good solution to hiding them and preventing further damage.

When I had the car detailed and protected straight from the factory, I had the auto body detailer add a piece of PPF to the entertainment screen for protection for just this reason.

As others have said, if you add a piece now, it may mask the scratches.

I'm not really sure what the main screen is made of, but there are plastic polishes on the market that can polish light scratches from most plastics (like below) - this will however remove any anti-glare coating. And as others noted, use a tempered glass screen protector.

Go to 1:09 on the video. It explains how to remove scratches on an iPad with a pencil eraser, but it may work here just as well.

Is there one for the Australian model, where the steering wheel is in the right

This maybe too late for you, but for those of us who want to prevent scratch like this happening: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07MH17JZW?...p_mob_ap_share

There's also a tempered glass screen protector for instrument cluster: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07V6F74SL?...p_mob_ap_share. This one is probably pointless since you never really touch this screen
