That is not what anyone has speculated including BMWNA's CEO who said in his letter to dealers that no BMW vehicles would qualify for the credit. Obviously things can change next month so we will see.

So this is the same power we have now. But with a S63 with is far more tunable than our N63TU or whatever the F its called.

This is more than an LCI. Its like a LCI plus. A lot of changes. Shit....Not worth getting a X5M anymore. You get the same exhaust, same motor....But. softer ride. I heard X5M is difficult on road trips compared to M50I. Come one BMW...put the builder online so I know how much money I have to print. Prob 107k loaded for a M60. My MSRP was 100k. So at time of release, my truck worth 70k on a trade. (its paid for). So I would pay $40k-ish including tax for a new one. And My truck I got in 12/21. So 40k over a year and a half. UGH

Also need to know if I can get DHP with the hitch. For 22 I did. 23 they made it not possible.
A good comparison is the Audi SQ8 and RSQ8. Sam engine, one detuned. And styling that is very close.

Who else is glad they have the pre-LCI? There's more cons than pros from what I see so far...

Shame as this is what makes these SUVs really drive like a BMW should. I wonder if it will still be available on the X5M LCI.
I would assume that not mentioned = not changed, rather than removed.

We'll see I guess, I can't imagine BMW removing something like that as an option.

Compared with the 3 series LCI this is a MUCH bigger update.

Our LCI only got flipped DRLs/new headlights, and idrive8 slapped on top with the new switch shifter. Other than that, only minor cosmetic changes.

We didn’t get an upgrade to SP21 that includes all the good stuff like full highway assist, full auto parking, or things like digital key plus. We also didn’t get any upgrades to the power train.

Atleast the M340i has the mild hybrid system. It appears like based on the marketing the X5 here might have the “upgraded” version based on the X7 which supposedly makes the auto start stop even smoother than the OG mild hybrid. Other than that though, should be the same system.

Solid LCI I’d say, the price increase is a bit extreme but I guess that is what it is, atleast it’s got the new features to back it up.

Been on this forum almost 3 years and EVERY new BMW has people saying they hate it, yet they sell off the lots instantly. 😂😂😂. This LCI literally only changed the lights and interior (which ALL future BMWs will get) and yet somehow the fans aren’t happy with the design. I wish there was a thread that tracked those comments to see if they later buy the car they ‘hated’. 😂😂😂

BMW has consistently messed with the DHP option on the X5/X7 for many years now. Sometimes it is available, sometimes not. Specifically on the 40i models. The take rate is very low due to the high cost and the fact that most X5/X7 buyers are really not “enthusiast” drivers who care about handling.

Combine this with the sad fact that is nearly impossible to ever do a back-to-back test drive of a DHP vs non-DHP car at a dealership (as dealers NEVER order cars with DHP for their inventory) and customers never really get to feel the amazing advantage the active anti-roll bars offer. Then they wonder why the take rate is so low. Vicious cycle.

X- Line looks much better but M-Sport looks worse

Also, missing all the buttons is a big loss.

The good part is the powertrain upgrades

I’m confused about the PHEV.
This used to have 51 miles E range.

It’s increased by 10 mile and now does 40?

I’ve not read the whole thread so no doubt I’m missikg something. It used to be a 45e here in the U.K. and I see it’s a 50e now with more power but still…

I really like the exterior. One thing BMW finally didn't screw up. But no way in hell I buy a vehicle with a long ipad as a dash.

I was thinking the same exact thing…my car currently has it, and I love it.

It did mention rear-wheel steer, which included anti-roll in the DHP pkg., but again, no mention.

It’s sad, because the Cayenne, SQ7, and SQ8 all offer it as well.

I can almost guarantee the X5M will retain it…

I'm sure it will sell (look at the competition). However, I think when the 2019 X5 came out, it was truly a great looking SUV. Much better than the previous version. The LCI is going in the wrong direction.

Many folks (like me) will wait until the next full version release.

Great looking update IMO. The base looks much better than before, and Msport is now more aggressive. I think the power bump for the I6 shouldn't be sneezed at, this would have been a reason I would have gone with a G01 M40i, but maybe not now.

I'd be very happy with a Blue Ridge Metallic with upgraded wheels, such as the launch model in the pictures. I think that's a head turner.
