Make sure to update your apps on your iDrive!

Go to the apps page on iDrive, go "left" to select "installed apps" and press the option button. And it will update all installed apps on your iDrive.

After that I was able to see MyTrips in privacy section, and on my iOS app.

I can confirm that at least for now it's not super reliable. Lost three of my trips out of probably 10 I've made so far. I have a good cellular coverage pretty much everywhere in case that could be a suspected reason for those trips not to get recorded. But I hope it's a temporary thing and BMW engineers will iron these things out.

Strange my App is not showing my trips. While its all up to date and reinstalled few times. The idrive is not showing updates. Neither is iphone. Not sure what else to try to get my trips to come up any suggestions?

Mine was for awhile but last I looked the Trips were no longer there. I'm not surprised by anything they do with their software/servers.

I see well at least Im not only one. I really want to see per trip usage on the app.

Mine was same a few days ago, went into data privacy settings in car and the allow box was "unticked" , ticked it and trips came back.

I’ve been trying for a few days but not able to get this working. I have the latest version of the BMW app, which has the My Trips section but this says I need to turn on data privacy.

The My trips option isn’t there in the car, I have run an update on installed apps as suggested and also done a few iDrive reboots by holding for 30, 70 and 90 seconds but nothing yet

My trips is a section in the app. In the car, under your driver profile, go to data privacy and be sure to enable all services. Take and post screen shots of what you see when enabling services.

the only way to see My Trips in the Data Privacy section is if you pick and choose specific services under "Individual selection". personally, I enabled all services and haven't had any issue with the MyBMW app and its updated features in over 2 years.

Here are some screenshots from the app, and photos from the iDrive.

The BMW instructions state that under individual privacy settings it will be ‘My Trips’, or you can have All services enabled including analysis, which I currently have. It seems the my trips tickbox isn’t appearing on my car even though I’ve done the update as the instructions suggest!

There is NO my trips section in the car that shows if you enable all services including analysis, have you tried enabling individual selection to see if it appears.
When mine wasn't working enabling all services got it working on my phone app but I still can't see my trips in the car.

Very strange, that it shows up in iOS app and not the car. I have the opposite. Im probably going to try with my sons iPhone 11 to see if it shows up there. I have wrote to BMW and I was given this generic response. Which I obviously done and nothing in the app.

Thank you for contacting BMW Assist Customer Care.

VIN: XXXXXXX

Please ensure that your vehicle is in an open area with a stable Internet connection.
Then, ensure to Navigate to Apps > Installed Apps > Option > Update Apps & Services.The vehicle will begin a short data transfer.

Following this, please allow several minutes to elapse. After this pause, you should receive an iDrive notification stating that you now have “New services under Data Privacy”.
Now, navigate to Data Privacy via Car > Settings > General Settings > Scroll to Data Privacy and select.
You may optionally select either ‘All Services incl. analysis’ for the best experience, or, select the services individually to enable. Scroll, highlight & select ‘My Trips’ from the list. My Trips is now enabled.

After enabling this service, switch to the My BMW App.
Logout and login.

On the Home Page, My Trips will appear with no information. Starting from this moment on, the chart will fill in with your accrued trip data, as described.

Let's see if that works.

If your app is already showing my trips then you should be good.
I cant get my app to show that for nothing... while car is showing privacy option.

I've now got it (don't remember if it popped up when I just went to iOS l6) though I haven't enabled the privacy setting in IDrive, so it will not work. I dunno….feel that I'm giving to much personal information out to corporate entities already in my life, and don't want to add to the pile…EZ pass was bad enough in the beginning (don't any of you watch Law & Order??), now Amazon app on the phone, etc, etc..!

I feel the need to get a Geo Metro, and a burner phone, and keep 'em in a storage shed somewhere 🤣🤣

My App does show 'my trips' but says need to activate...which was unsuccessful in the car
