They did it this way so the engine cover is compatible with pre LCI F95/F96. The LCI models and XM has the reservoir in a different location.

Then they would need model specific kits for pre LCI, LCI & XM models. I don’t mind the block off plate since I have pre LCI.

It’s better than no block off plate. Can’t please everyone I guess

It's not hard to have a cover with and without the cutout. Most companies make these things an option per the model so the items fit and look correct. This is lazy!

Eh for 2.5k you’re not gonna get much better quality. It’s actually a deal in my book for a totally new intake design with actual performance increase, and an engine cover.

I’m actually kinda jealous the LCIs get more eventuri branding. Haha plus the insert is not carbon. So it would be an awesome opportunity to use some imagination by adding some individual flare to the piece. Like painting it the color of my downstar washers, or a custom image/artwork.

That’s just me tho, and I realize not everyone is the same.

Blown away by the quality of this kit. Fit and finish is perfect and modified weather striping between the rear induction ducts is an oem piece.

The induction noise on acceleration is so addicting. You can hear the air venting out the rear induction ports when you let off the gas.

Video below is just normal cruising speeds with windows closed and you can hear everything loud and clear.

I was the lucky person who got the intake at a great price from PNWM50I. It showed up on Monday in perfect condition. I put it on last night, along with the golden wrench engine cap set.

I love how it turned out.

I had the eventuri on my old F80 and I was very happy with that setup. I put the eventuri on my X3M and was not a fan. It looked nice but was essentially a carbon fiber engine cover with grille scoops. I quickly swapped that intake out with the front mount intake from RK Tunes.

This intake for the F95 looks beautiful and increases the spool noise significantly. I’m a huge fan.

Looks like you might need to adjust your passenger side clamp and move it slightly upwards. it might not be catching the carbon canister with the way it is now.

Did the M logo tabs break off?

Honestly this is one of those mods that you get to enjoy every time you drive the car because it sounds amazing.

I honestly didn’t even notice the clamp on the passenger side being that low; thank you for pointing that out.

As far as the M logo, yep, I broke the tabs 😩

You can use double sided tape, or glue gun of you don’t mind it stick very good.
