X5 M50i Ordered!

Just placed an order for a 2021 X5 M50i on Saturday. Got the order number today and was told it was scheduled to be completed on March 8th. Rep told me he thought it was longer than he thought and there's a chance BMW might move it up sooner. Really hope that's true!!

Congrats! It is a really nice build, but the wait does unfortunately suck. I honestly would not expect the date to move up. In my experience, it usually is close, and I’m getting increasingly concerned that my week 6 build may move OUT. Individual components (like Dravit) can also slow it down for some.

It will be so worth it though!

Thanks guys! Yea luckily my wedding is coming up on 4/4 so that'll hopefully keep me busy enough that I don't keep thinking about the long wait. Called BMW Genius and he told me its currently in for BW9 so 3/1!

VIN Assigned! Here's my timeline so far:

01/21/21: Order Received
02/01/21: Scheduled for Production
02/05/21: Production Begins (VIN Assigned, Estimated completion Feb 21)

At least now I have an actual date to look forward to! But man the last 2 weeks were excruciating!

This is an excellent build and the only thing I’d change would be the wheels - I’d go with the 20 inch just for the additional comfort. But aesthetically, this is exactly what I would do! Congrats!

The Blacks 742s are nice. I went with those as well and got the standard 20s for Winter. Good luck, the home stretch is the tough part

Yea I'm hoping that it moves up a few days and completes next week sometime. My wife's X3 is estimated to complete sometime today so we wanted to take delivery of the two cars together. Let's see! The home stretch it def tough haha

Nardo Grey is not available for the X5.

Something could have changed recently. Nardo Grey was not on the list of individual colors for the X5. The only ones available have been:

Thank you for sharing. My M50i also has special paint - Tanzanite. I also chose the two tone leather [Ivory White/Night Blue]. I was told that the whole process could take 10 weeks because of the leather and paint.
Looks like you could have your X5 at the end of February!
My production slot was acquired Feb 1st.
I can't remember when the status changed to "Scheduled for Production" ... I think it was Monday [2/8]

Please keep us posted. That will give me an idea of the rest of the timeline.
