I'm skeptical that the LCI will be in 22 rather than 23. Of course I would welcome it especially if it brings back the options that were deleted for MY21 as well as some more.

i thought they didn't LCI X5's?

My M550i lease is up end of this year, if that's the case definitely scratch an X5 off the list then.

Just curious, why would an LCI cause you to disregard the X5?

I would disagree with that statement. All X5s since E53 have had a LCI except F15 which was a short generation run and decision to quickly move to the new CLAR platform.

BMW's LCI pattern is every 5 years. The X5 and the X7 will be in 2023.

Example: The G30 5 Series came our in 2017 and the LCI change was for 2021.

Even though a lot of options were taken away for MY21, you still can order them as these options are still offered or available in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. For some reasons the US market was effected, yet these cars are built in the US. Expensive though to order.

The US 5 Series lost the soft automatic close doors, touch climate control, 4-zone climate control and the CD player. The US M5 models have these options and in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East still gets them.

it seems like the US market is being punished. They raised the processes with less options. Isn't each year the cars suppose to have more and not less? Via Facebook and Twitter send BMW USA and BMW NA your thoughts. If you are BMW CCA, member let them know too. They have a lot of influence.

While historically true, on occasion BMW internal planning switches things up for various reasons.

For example, first retail sales of the G07 started Spring 2019, LCI should be MY23 - however there's high probability of seeing a G07 LCI this fall.

Spy shots documented G07 LCI testing vehicles out and about back in Dec 2020.

This is a really strange car.

It is a X5 hybrid but the lower front is from the X5M. The rear is not the X5M but instead the ordinary X5 M sport bumper.

Tail lights the same? Is that normal for the LCI on BMW SAVs? I thought LCI is supposed to bring refreshed light designs...

Let's hope not, since we'd probably end up with those generic-as-hell lights they put on the 5 series LCI

I'm glad is not just me. It feels very similar to the current version. I was expecting something similar to the G30 headlights etc. Wondering what they'll do interior wise.

No way this is the LCI. They would not put the same front end as the current X5M front end on the LCI.
