I have the same problem. I have yet to find which model the net cable will work on. so now I use one of the preferred bluetooth models. I prefer the obd link cx on amazon. works well via bluetooth, little slow but it works and you get full access with this one. I also have the veep, but this limits access

Thanks- weird how mine worked a week ago. I wonder if it is something to do with iOS 15.
When you connect with enet cable and have ip set to automatic does it still display an IP address? Mine doesn’t |

I've just coded using my ENET cable with iPad Pro (on 15.01) yesterday w/out any issues, so definitely not an iOS problem.

Yes.
One thing I always do (even pre iOS 15) is disable WiFi before hooking up the ENET cable to the OBD port. I don't know if it would make any difference in your case, though.

I'm having the same issue, wont get an IP address using the CNET cable. Worked great for well over a year and not since iOS 15, wont work.

and the wifi. It seems on iOS 15 the airplane mode doesn't turn off wifi, you need to do it manually.

Airplane mode on iOS 15 seems to work the same way as 13 and 14 (and maybe even 12, don't remember that far back) — it turns off whatever you had selected to be turned off last time you used Airplane mode. That includes WiFi state.

I just turned on airplane mode and wifi is still on. I am not sure if this is a memory setting or bug 🤷 It seems to save the last settings I had, strange!

Airplane mode used to disable wifi when it was enabled, but the behavior changed with the prevalence of on-board wifi in the plane. airplane mode disables cellular service, but wifi state is unaffected (the user then chooses). bluetooth is still enabled/disabled when airplane mode is enabled/disabled (iOS 15)

I don't have an iPhone, I have Android. I can say for Android 11 (Samsung S20) airplane mode enabled is NOT correct.
All I have to do is enable Ethernet Tethering. I don't have to touch WiFi and Bluetooth at all (they remain enabled and connected to the car). |

Do it in the Settings, not Control Center. Using the Control Center only disables connections. You must have manually turned on WiFi while using Airplane Mode once before.

I used bimmercode via ENET to code my G05 x5, but after remote software upgrade from BMW, all coding lost. That was not surprising, but I was unable to connect bimmercode after software update. But by deleting the app and data on iPhone, I was able to reconnect bimmercode to recode. I think it had to do with deleting the recovery data from the inital coding to allow a new set of recovery data. FYI

I have the same problem, but today I found out that there's a setting for BimmerCode in ios15. You have to toggle that in order for BimmerCode to work.
Go to iPhone settings scroll down to BimmerCode and toggle first option—local connection. My iOS is 15.4.1 Idrive version: 03/22 45 |
