I would have gotten at least HK. HiFi is so bad. I made a bad assumption. It got better after break-in but is still quite weak for some music. Not so much about the M Sport look but I would have gone with it to not have so much chrome. Upgraded light is another one, not because of functionality but rather the longer more complete running light. I'm still happy regardless

Couldn’t stand the hifi, upgraded to Bavsound. It won’t shake your molars, but sounds richer and deeper. I can turn up 3/4 volume and enjoy. I listen to old white guy music, Stones, The Who, Gennis, Cars, Eagles. Also fusion Jazz when I am on dates with my wife.

Dravit Gray Metallic, perhaps? Was it ever so slightly amber up close in the light, if you noticed?

Yeah that one has been on my mind too. I read the installation is not bad and I'm tempted to do but kind of afraid to leave some marks I may wait for the covid to fade and find a local installer.

From my experience, it's hard to tell for me. I have Dark Graphite and at pick up, they had Black Jet, Black Graphite and Dark Graphite. From a distance I couldn't tell which one was Black/Dark Graphite. They both look very grey compared to Jet Black. And under different light and cameras/phones, it's even harder to tell. Even my two pictures, with some light change, they don't even look the same. I think Carbon Black looks similar too.

Ah, all local stock comes with HK I think. Overall it's quite nice but nothing so exceptional. Last car I had was factory speakers so I can totally understand your feeling though, as I love some good sound.

Interesting thought about the light because I actually prefer the day time running light signature of the LEDs over the laser lights. The light signature of the laser lights look too similar to the X3 I reckon.

I'd really like a heads up display. Second would be nappa leather.

Yea I was thinking maybe. It looked a bit darker than the drevit grey images I see online. But then lighting wasn't great in the holding facility. It seemed like a very creamy grey.

You're right about the X3. I thought those were upgraded as well. OK... I like my std LED now Mine comes with HUD and yes, it's nice. I just need to find a different pair of shades now. Mine are polarized.

It's Dark Graphite Metallic. When I was picking up, they had a Jet Black, Dark Graphite Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic. Imo DGM and BSM are almost identical. I could see "Black" clearly from the Jet Black. And I really wanted it but decided to go with Dark Graphite due to lack of Metallic on Jet Black. This color is not very grey and only shows in some lights. I feel it looks more like dark blue. This image shows more grey as you see.

My current 2018 X5 is DGM and really like that color, yours looks even better with the black grill and those wheels. My next X5 is on order and switched it up to Mineral White Metallic with Black Grill and 22" Black 742M Wheels.

Most think black grille goes well with lighter colors so yours will look nice. I went back and forth and decided to keep the black on. I think chrome is a bit too much. I hope yours will come with air suspension because I already feel rough with the 21". Regardless, this thing needs 21+.

I definitely wanted the bigger wheels and went with M Sport which comes with Adaptive M Suspension.

Love the blacked out grill! I have 2022 X5 xLine 40i BSM ordered and should arrive next weekend! I'm curious, is that OEM grill from 2021 model or did you wrap or paint it? Is the extended shadow line trim on OEM grill on 2021 different than 2022 models? I noticed your grill has 4 silver lines on each end of each side... I love that subtlety which matches extremely well with the plastic silver trims on the bottom of each side (the square C on each side, not sure what you call it) and the center....

Thanks. BSM looks very similar to DGM for my eyes. I bought the grille from Amazon. I was looking at IND's but it was confusing how they listed so I decided to get from Amazon, much cheaper too. Quality is nice as you see. They do sell the side ones too but I didn't get them. Those silver lines are from the active shutter. I didn't expect this but yeah, I like it but some may think they look weird Some did make the left over silver black but I think that's a bit too much for me.

I couldn’t justify an additional 4700 for MSport without an engine performance improvement and don’t like the packaged option BMW put together forcing me to get something I don’t really need. Plus, my wife will be the one mostly driving it other than on weekends which will be a family car with my kids in it, so I made a rational decision to not get the msport (but it wasn’t without struggle). I also did several versions of black out grill with front and sides to show her, she still liked the chrome grill better but liked the black out front and sides.
I was decided to do glossy black wraps on the front, sides and back (without the grill) until I saw yours…. I do agree with you as well, all black grill is a bit too much whcich is another reason I struggle so much…. But then sometimes it looks and feels different between in person and picture too… ugh decisions decisions in life….

No need for new shades. The HUD can be slightly tilted to accommodate polarized sunglasses.
