New dedicated winter wheels and tires shipped APO
So I got myself dedicated winter tires and wheels from tirerack. I was able to talk with the representative on the proper fitment and parts for my 2021 xdrive40i. Shipped to South Korea via APO.
Currently I have the OEM 21" M Y-spoke bi-color wheels with M-Sport brakes, style 741M with Performance run-flat tires. Front: 275/40 R21 Rear: 315/35 R21 My on base auto hobby shop is gonna charge me $60 for balance and mounting all four wheels and tires and install the new TPMS as well. I have attached pictures of my set ordered. My local auto/tire shop should be able to easily bolt off the current wheels and bolt on the new ones right? |

I would have paid to have tirerack mount and balance. Over the years I've bought several wheel/tire combo sets and tirerack does a great job to the point of feeling like youre driving on smooth glass. I've always had issues with local tire shops with poor mounting and balancing.

+1 on GREENPUS's comment — same experience here.
As for dismounting/mounting the rims yourself (if you chose to do that, that's the advantage of having two full sets of wheels), it's not particularly hard, but you need to get yourself some extra tools: jack pad adapter(s), wheel hangers, and the right size deep insulated (to protect rim finish) lug bolt socket. Also, the rims plus tires are pretty heavy, but a youngish lad should be able to handle (a pair of wheel hangers help a lot).
