Hi, I'm looking to order 2022 model soon, would you recommend securing a commitment from the dealer that they would honor the PenFed Bonus at delivery?

I talked to my local dealer (BMW of Bellevue) and he said he's never heard of any incentives from PenFed

The PenFed incentive is the BMW military incentive (the other ways to get it is on theBMW website or on the TrueCar website) He just needs to process it as a Type J incentive.

A dealer cannot commit to it until they put your unique code into the RDR system.

Based on what I saw of the latest promotion on BMWUSA, it looks like the residual for 10K/yr is 53% with a MF of .00096. Can anyone confirm?

RV is 52% not 53% for 36/10yr. Your best source for lease rate information is the Edmunds discussion forum. Post your zip code and what terms you are looking for and they will give you the MF, RV and any incentives available in your area.

I've been trying to buy a 2022 from bmw of bellevue for a while now. They're not offering anything. Just msrp + fees. Have you had any luck?

Hey everyone - new here.

Hoping to trade in my '14 X3 x35i and Lease (or Buy) an X5 x40i with M Sport, Executive, Parking Assistant, Heated front seats, etc..

Are these numbers close to what most are seeing? I'm in the Midwest US (Note: my trade in has a couple outstanding maintenance issues, but it's quoted at 13k as trade-in)

I'm not sure (and haven't googled or asked SA) what the FS Assignment Fee is, if anyone has a quick answer here.

Cheers!

That is the lease acquisition fee. They are marking up the MF so you may want to tell them you need the base of .00096.

Something to think about is the down payment on the lease. While it may not be a problem, keep in mind if the vehicle is stolen or totaled early in the lease you may have trouble getting any of that back. Some lessors put it in their contract that all proceeds from insurance go to them. I don't think BMW does but in general, large down payments on a lease are not recommended.

You may want to try CarMax and/or Vroom to see what they will give you for your vehicle rather than trading it in.

I appreciate that. I did try CarMax and they actually quoted me less than BMW (12,500). I need to give Vroom a try.

The 3,000 down payment on the lease was really something to keep the monthly payments ~$100 less than the would be otherwise. Not that I need to do it, but this is the first time I've ever considered a Lease so that could just be my lack of knowledge.

It looks like my local dealer is sticking pretty hard to "You're lucky we are still offering MSRP" and not taking anything (excluding rebates/incentives) off the vehicle.

One thing I hate right now about BMW (and others) is that they are taking features away while keeping all costs to the customer the same (minus the pathetic $500 touch screen credit). Touch screen for me is at least a $1,000 CR.

The people ordering BMWs right now deserve to be recognized by BMW somehow for the shortcomings as of late in the options/tech. Just my opinion, obviously.

I'm wondering if anyone is actually getting deals these days, but am also curious if I'm getting the best deal I can get.

Hi all,
I am on the market for a X5 xDrive45e too and I have the discount code with Penfed/TrueCar.

The problem is that it seems there is no inventory at all (TrueCar sends me mail with offers from dealer and then I call them and the car are not available) and every dealer pushes me to order a car.
I have visited two of them but they said the same story: order can take up to 12 weeks...and the penfed code expires on Jan 3rd 2022. They say tat it can be entered only at the delivery.
Is that true?

Thanks a lot in advance

They are correct. The code can only be entered at time of delivery. The domestic military incentive is a year-long incentive that is renewed each January.

Thanks a lot. So do you think I should not have any problem to order and still have a discount next Jan, correct?

Thx in advance!

I would say there is no chance that BMW would get rid of that incentive although the amount could change. There is probably a small chance that they will remove the ability to get the incentive from PenFed or TrueCar now that they process it on their own website using ID.me.

Yes, it it true. If at the time of delivery BMW does not accept the code - there is nothing the dealer can do, it's not the incentive we can lock in.

Does anyone know if we need to finance through PenFed to get the rebate from BMW? Or can we use BMWFS and stack the PenFed $3250?

It is either/or. If you finance through BMWFS you'll receive the BMW rebate if you go through PenFed you'll receive the PenFed rebate. You cant do both.
