Thanks for the info. the owners manual only shows the fuse box in the rear. So having one in front is much better.

One more question, is there a convenient place for the ground wire next to the fuse box.

I am a little nervous removing the trim panels. I tried to remove the right tear panel that contains the rear speaker, but no luck. I used a trim removal tool, but was afraid I was about to break the panel. It just wouldn't let go. I was prying between the panel and the rubber gasket for the rear cargo door..
There is a screw right below the glove box.

Check his reviews out on Yelp. Pretty impressive comments from his customers.
Can you share a video of your cam. I may reach him out for the same. $260 including camera is way cheaper than BMW one.

He is quoting the price of the installation, not the actual equipment.

The camera was $179 on Amazon. The installation was an additional $260.

The video quality exceeded my expectations. I am traveling now and the camera's in my wife's G05 so I will post a clip in a couple of days.

Here is the link to the camera. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Yeah, sorry for not being more clear. You could attempt install yourself and save money but with the rear camera it's a lot of work to get it right. Personally, I'm at an age where managing my anxiety is a high priority so if it's too complicated, I throw money at the problem. I'm sure I could have figured it out, but for $260, I didn't have to even think about it.

Just installed my rear camera, tricky to get through the rubber grommet for the lower cable s and then out through the double skin. I really needed longer fingers to grab the nylon guide/ cable puller I was using. After that it was easy to feed through the rubber tube to the tailgate. Took a bit longer than the F15! Trim is pretty much the same as F15.

It was a lot easier for me to run cable to the rear then find the right fuse. It took me longer to learn and find the right fuse to tap into.

Luckily the fuse box is very similar in location and layout to F15 and others had posted the G05 fuse details so was quickly able to identify a battery + fuse which was empty and an empty fuse allocated for usb power. I think F27 and 72 from memory

The fuse paper manual that I found from 2019 x3 forum really help a lot. Without that I would not know where f27 is at. Other post F20 and f53 without picture I would not know which is f20.

I am wondering if you considered the BV 900X 2C 4K. If so, would you mind explaining your choice?

I looked at several models of Blackvue including the 4k. Blackvue as been recommended by some of the forum members. But, the price is double to triple what I paid. The A129 has excellent clarity. I'll post a clip as soon as I get back home. There are Youtube clips if you want to check them out. I don't care about fancy features although the A129 has plenty of those too. The $169 price was the key factor for me. I would have paid more but I didn't need to do it.

Agreed the A129 is excellent value for money and probably has the edge on the Mini 0906 which I have 3 of. I also like having a small screen on the front cameras.

If you do not mind, I would like to see how this looks inside a G05.

I suggest to invest in Cellink NEO dedicated battery to have plenty of power to sustain several hours of recording in parking mode without the risk of draining the main battery.

Best way to find the correct wires is to use a low voltage test light and test the fuses for switched and constant. Fuse powering varies from vehicle to vehicle. Posting a picture of the fuse box and fuse numbers still may not give you the correct fuses for your X5.
