M50i - available air suspension
M50i - Available tow package for my motorcycle
M50i - more comfortable seats
M50i - cheaper insurance
M50i - $20k+ cheaper purchase price.

Full M pros:
Full M - cooler bumpers.
Full M - bragging rights that you drive a "full M" vehicle.
You want to tune N63 on M50i?
Chances are your engine will die well before you hit 25k miles if you start using your “tunes”.

And it’s ok...M is a beautiful car!

Go with 22s. Much more tire choices.

I wouldn't go with 22in have a buddy with them and hates them. The ride is to ruff with 22in. Since most 22in are super low profile.

I have the 21in summer Perelli zero and love them. I had about 25k on them before they got stolen. I usually drive between 110 to 167mph daily on the Autobahn. 1 to 2 hours driving 130mph with no issues.

Thanks for your advice though. I guess I better go buy an X5M before my "engine dies".

Did you look at Dahler tuning? I’m in the states but looking at their tuning upgrade delivering 600 plus hp

I bought a stock "black" diffuser.... but the black used didn't quite match the dark grey portions of the upper bumper trim.

I ended up using a matte black plasti-dip on the diffuser, as well as the upper bumper trim to bring it all together, and match the hitch so it doesn't stand out so much.

Its in this thread somewhere.

Special thanks to Autoteknic...... for selling me "high quality" carbon fiber parts..... that delaminate and peel in just over a year....... just like the Chinese junk on eBay that costs 1/3 as much.

Had you actually been willing to support your product, I'd still be happy...... but even when presented with the original box, original shipping label, and pictures of your defective parts..... You gave me the whole "We have no record of you on file.... You'll have to contact the vendor you bought them from".

I was the first person to buy a set of CF caps for the G05.... they weren't even advertised yet. I ordered them over the phone.... announced it on here..... and then vendors started offering them.

Here's the post I made when I first bought them:

wow entire car looks great!

how do you like these wheels. I'll never buy a bmw car again because all i did was replace rips and wheels every 4 months driving in New york.

I love the X because i haven't had to change a rim.

i know your roads in europe are nicer than the united states of potholes, but do you think these rims will take a beating?

In "Europe"??? Yes, the roads are better.

In "Southern Belgium" where I live?? The roads are worse than war-torn Afghanistan. I actually hit a BAD one about 6 months ago.. dented the front rim, Cracked the rear rim.... and literally EXPLODED the front tire.

I've since had the rims repaired.... and bought taller tires to protect them.

Been away for awhile.... focusing on a 1991 BMW K100 cafe racer build.

Thought I'd show off my new "beefy" tires.

Belgian 3rd world roads..... hit a BAD pothole.... dented the front rim, cracked the rear rim.... and had the front tire literally EXPLODE (sidewall blew out like a gunshot).

So..... beefier tires it is.... at least until I move to a country that doesn't have roads worse than war-torn afghanstan.

Are you not concerned there is a 4% delta in comparison to the stock setup, would that not damage the transfer case, etc.?

Speedometer may be off, but the Ratio between front and rear, and side to side is all that matters. Difference isn’t going to be enough to induce more stress on the gear box via higher gearing either.

Actually.... no. So long as there is minimal difference between the overall diameter front vs rear... I don't foresee any issues.

My speedometer is off by "maybe" 1mph (low).

On the old tires, it was off by 2-3 mph (high).

Yep... 100%

Thanks! I did like the "look" of the low-profile tires much better. These new tires also required that I adjust the droplinks to raise the vehicle back up about 10mm. Unfortunately, ultra-low profile tires just aren't feasable in this country.
