Boring mod ... but rubber mats are an improvement

Boring mod ... i switched the front footwell carpet mats for BMW rubber mats.

My 9 year old plays weekly football and has ruined the front passenger carpet within 2 months of me getting the car (on 1st September) ... so, asked my dealer for a replacement and they suggested rubber mats, for a bargain (for BMW!) £70.

I've since taken the mats out for a driveway jetwash, and let them air dry and put them back into the car good as new.

a cheaper mod than MSS springs, which is the next mod!

they were in stock at my local dealer. strangely, the carpets came only as a 4-set (front and back), and were £150, whereas the rubber mats came as a front set only, and were £70.

they fit perfectly and can be removed and jetwashed down, and as i have OCD, just use a microfibre cloth to dry the water off, good as new.

The mats look good! Smart design...a must for the winter, especially when they start putting the red grit down in the roads - don't want that getting onto the carpet mats.

My X5 is due end of December and will be purchasing a set of rubber mats like yourself. I seen on the configurator when I spec'd my order that there was an "accessory protect pack" which was front and rear mats plus a boot mat for £180 - will be getting that if I can.

I got my BMW rubber mats off of Amazon for a good price (~$98 for the fronts and ~$64 for the rears). They are worth it!

these are for last generation X5, does this mean my F85 floor mats will fit my new F95 that I dont need to buy new ones?
