I just tracked the X5M CP down at the BMW Perfomance Center in SC.
I booked the entire track for a private event and did back to back runs on multiple M cars, with the X5M added to the mix. The car is definitely an animal and I even lifted 2 wheels off the ground for a few turns / drifted a bunch of others. I felt comfortable pushing the car to the limits. What the car didn't like was the slalom in the autox course. The suspension and steering decided to do their own thing during rapid and constant directional changes. The slalom was the only thing I didn't do with traction / DSC fully off. It felt like the active roll stabilization was trying to level the car out at the same time that I wanted to quickly change direction before the next cone. Very very sloppy.
