Nah, the Urus just looks like an Audi suv with some minor body mods. Oh wait, it is an Audi suv with some body mods.

No skill was necessary in that race since they were racing in automatic mode. All they did was put their foot to the pedal, and never used the paddle shifters.

Another SUV drag race and worst yet on a wet surface. Can we really care?

Urus fans will buy the vehicle ... because it's an Urus.

X6M and X5M - its slightly better sibling - will sell because of what ones gets in the total package.

Neither decision will be influenced by the 0-to-nearest-Costco metrics.

I get the point you're making. Yes, I agree that the lambo is definitely more prestigious than a BMW.

I wish I could afford one, but that ain't gonna happen, lol. As much as I would be happy driving an Aventador.. I would still be a bit bummed out of a corvette spanked me in a test of speed and skill.

I guess you're referring to people who buy cars as status symbols and don't really drive them and make them garage queens, don't care about the performance associated with their trophy.

On the other hand, as a car enthusiast who values true skill, performance and a vehicle's capabilities, would be disappointed if I were to spend so much money on a car designed to be one of the best, only to get dusted off by something less difficult to aquire.

Probably why the X6M Competition appeals to me more than the Urus. It's not showy and different where it matters most.

The Urus looks more special and the difference in performance is very minor. Probably the Italian vs German-style language. I would not buy either because they are not my style...

Even though I don't like any of the coupe like SUV's, I actually would take the X6M over the Urus. I just don't like any angle of that thing.

Right, because X6 is such an outstanding looker...

Every new X6 model makes the old one look that much better.

To each their own.

Reaction time is a skill, the dude in the Urus seems to have none.

Honestly, if that were the case more people would be buying Alfa Giulia and Stelvio. One of my friends has a 2020 Stelvio QV and it's his DD, I drove it a few times and it shames my X50i in terms of pure driving dynamics and general theatre and costs about the same...he's had zero issues with it since he's had it.

Americans want their coupes to be sedans and their sedans to be SUV's. And thus, 4-Door Coupes and SUV-"Coupes" were born.

But the Stelvio competes more with the X3, not the X5. So a small SUV would probably feel better than a mid-size SUV handling wise during a spirited drive.

I'm assuming, but I imagine you both selected your daily drivers because you met somewhere in the middle, compromising driving dynamic and utility and luxury.

But these two vehicles don't complete in the market, so naturally there will be differences in the categories mentioned above.

Also, me personally don't consider Alphas to be more prestigious than BMW. Both makes are quite common as daily drivers.

And all the manufacturers removed the proper roof rails

So now many modern SUV's look like jacked up wagons

Which is why we buy the SUVs offered and first mod is to lower them. I would have gladly bought an M wagon in the states were it available.

X6 is the OG, BMW will not allow anyone to take its crown. BMW pioneered the segment, it's evident they care.

X6 M. The most-balanced car on the market.

The X6M isn’t really suppose to have mass appeal. That’s it’s attraction. It’s a BMW creation that all the others followed so that speaks volumes to how viable the design is.
