Is it safe to assume that the majority of these cars are kept in garages?

I have a Black 530i thats been on constant Texas and Florida elements since May 2006. Would this product be able to be applied over failing clear coat, rock chips and faded paint?

How is the long term durability from the perspective of someone who keeps their car outside all the time?

Its doesnt make sense when the car is only worth $5k. Its a 2007 530i 6 speed- the paint job would cost more than the value of the car.
