good question. gotta ask yourself if you'd rather have 1.5mm LESS thread bite or 3mm MORE thread bite (assuming either length fits) |

This is parking in my building. No it's still on the jacks.. insurance had to order the rims and tires because the vehicle cannot be moved and tow truck can't fit. |

Best of luck to you man. When it happened to me, I lost all enthusiasm for my car, just waiting for the next thing to happen. But, I switched to a better, newer garage now. Hopefully shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Seems strange they would leave 4 jacks behind. Also looking at the height of the car they couldn't have removed the wheels from the car at that level so that means they jacked it up higher to remove the wheels then went ahead to lower it down like that? Might as well lower it all the way down and take the jacks with them

It does not look staged...there is no way for them to get the jacks out if they lowered the car all the way down...the car would still be on the jacks. It seems they started to lower the car and then realized it.
They would need some other kind of supports to keep the car lifted in order to retrieve the jacks. An LA fav is cinder blocks - which often crumble under the weight of the car. They were stupid enough to not think it through. So they had to eat some of their stolen profit. Sorry this happened.
