HRE FF10 Liquid Metal or Tarmac?
I just got my X5, and looking to order, a set of the FF10s in 22.
They are on 3 month back order, so I want to make sure that I order the right option, given the long wait time. Tarmac (Black) or Liquid Metal (Silver)??? |

22" HRE FF10 summer wheels and 22"snow tires https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1764343
Maybe will help you. But if you dont plan changing grill , mirrors to black or carbon , i would go with silver wheels. |

I would get Tarmac. Something about black wheels just strikes a chord with me. I know the look is getting old, but I think it still looks good.
Get some black mirror caps, black out your trim and badges and get the Tarmac wheels. Just know that once you do get black wheels, it's hard to take good photos, especially in bright conditions, as it just gets washed out and looks like two black voids sitting under your car. I had gloss black wheels on my S7 and it looked great in person, but it looked like crap in photos for the most part. Getting good photos with black wheels is hard to pull off. However, based on your car and trim, Silver would be the easiest to pull off because there's nothing else you would have to do with your car. So, really can't go wrong either way. |

I am looking at the same wheels, have an Arctic Gray on the way and I will get the HREs either in Liquid Metal or potentially in Anthracite.

So things changed, shipping and just thinking about it the last few months, and ended up with this setup instead.
Rims: HRE FF11 (Tarmac) 22x10.5 (Front) 22x11.5 (Rear) Tires: Nitto NT420v 275/35/22 (Front) 315/30/22 (Rear) |

Looks good.
If anyone wants a set of 22 forged wheels I'm selling mine. Although the wheels are to be shipped from Australia the price will be very good as I've got no space to store them. |
