Hi what does the X5 hood Roundel underside look like? Does it have female or male ends to plug into hood? Or does it stick with 3m flat?

Either way, I’m wondering if something like this would still work?

It looks like this - two male pins that fits in the emblem grommet:

Emblem - BMW Roundel 82mm - BMW (51-14-7-499-154)
Emblem Grommet - BMW (51-14-1-807-495)

These roundels look great! Please update us later regarding durability especially the hood and trunk ones. although aluminum doesn't rust, I worry about corrosion

Will do! I’ll be ceramic coating the car shortly so maybe that helps with preventing corrosion. Maybe not guess I’ll find out
