First BMW!

Hi Everyone!

I just ordered my first BMW, figured it was time to treat myself to a nice luxury ride.

M-Sport
Phytonic Blue / Black
20" Star spoke wheels
Aluminum Tetragon trim
Climate Comfort / Driving Assistance Pro / Executive / Luxury Seating / Parking Assist / M Sport Brakes (blue)

Dealer claims to have had November allocations (with a December arrival time frame) and put in the build code yesterday. We'll see how long it takes it to get into the system.

40i with AWD.

I can't wait for it to show up, the comparable 2021 x6 they had in the showroom that I tested was *amazing*

Look into aluminum dark mesh trim instead of tetragon if you haven't already. It's a little more understated and classy with black.

Aluminum dark mesh wasn't an option with the m-sport package, and I'd rather have the tetragon than wood trim.

It's a glitch on the configurator...if you add the M-Sport, it removes the aluminum dark mesh, but then you can go back to the interior options and add it back. I can confirm because I just took delivery of my M Sport 45e with this trim

Weird cause when I clicked on it it wanted to remove m-sport.

Either way, I like the tetragon

You are going to love it! My first BMW is my current 2018 X5 and I’m in the process of finalizing everything for a 2022 X5 40i with M Sport package. I’m going with Mineral White Metallic, Ivory White Merino interior, Anthracite, Extended Shadow Trim and Black 22” wheels. Other packages/ options same as you.

As of today I have a VIN! It's looking like I might have my BMW before my wife and I take our trip to her family's place at the end of November, provided everything goes well.

I had to tell "my guy" to add ZWT which is the new part number for the Dark Aluminium Mesh. The old part number (4KM I believe) is not valid anymore.

Correct. But ultimately you just need to make sure your SA puts it on your build sheet and you're good.

thanks for the info! as I said we will see, based on past experience the new MY comes in August between second and forth week, so maybe we won't see LCI until August of 2023 as MY24, who knows at this point!

"awaiting carrier assignment" - after progressing through almost every stage on Saturday. I'm in Atlanta so hopefully the dealer will have my x5 this week, and then all I have to do is wait for them to do the software update I guess.
