The roofer does actually carry that load for MANY hours of the day, while exposed to the elements, almost always on an incline or decline and faces almost certain death while doing it.

I'm not sure that compares with having a child on your hip for 1.5 hours a day.

No doubt kids do wonders for a new mother's shoulders, back and biceps.

Though i'm sure no roofer will trade places with you. lol

I'm 5'4 and 110 lbs. Lets do the percentages. A roofer is probably a male and taller and heavier than me, so 10-15 lbs is a lot less of a burden to carry around then a petite female carrying 22 lbs.
Common core math is too confusing...

I am active. I just do not go to a gym ever.

I wear heels all day which is a work out in its self. Carry around and chase after a toddler. Plus own two horses

I worked roof's on my parents' rental properties one summer when I decided university wasn't the place for me. It was the most miserable summer of my life. And down here, you can't work on roof's all day. You'll die.

That said, childbirth and child rearing win each time. This is doubly true for single parents.

Seems that I am on a winning streak lately. I'm buying my powerball tickets tonight!

Everyone pack your bags. We are all going on vacation

Being active is good but don't think you can count heels as a health benefit. I have stairs in my house but that doesn't count either unless I run up them 200 times in a row.

I was simply asking what you did out of curiosity. I didn't put 2 and 2 together (toddler = 22 lbs). I'm not denying a roofer's tool belt is easier for him to carry than a toddler is for you. I can't even carry my 40 lb first grader for more than a few seconds anymore.

Plus if she is watching you, she will laugh. And then you will. And then you both get benefits of laughter therapy. Win-Win-Win
