I can't believe this thread became a 6MT vs DCT. First, although DCT shifts faster than manual gearbox, it is still based on Automatic Transmission. The true sequential-manual will have a foot/paddle clutch just like manual gearbox. Second, although I prefer DCT at a racetrack for faster shifting, I do LOVE driving manual gearbox (6MT). I may need to watch my words though, because he could easily retaliate by money shifting when we meet up since he's local to me...

Kudos to you for driving a V8Turbo unit w/ non-linear powerband. It will take me month and month to master the 6MT on that vehicle. |

The hardest part is getting used to how deep the "sweet spot" is for power shifting, but the clutch is amazing. Super smooth, but until you get the hang of it- it's longgggg shifts in between. Or it feels like they are. I absolutely looooovvvveeeeddd jumping on the highways in that beast though. Miss my baby girl, Nicki! (still haven't named my new one)

People think I'm more crazy now than before, but it's not my fault! I gave it up because a friend wanted to take over it, and I wanted to do frozen black instead of silver (I lease took over the 2014) And at the time. The dealer said "oh it'll only be 2, 3 months max before you get it!" Fuck me. 5 months later, I'm 2 weeks away finally. Had I known what I do now- I wouldn't have gotten rid of it so soon
