2. i'd prefer the X5 grill over the X6 grill to be on the F95 as well, but I guess this is BMW going back to the "coupe" version of the front ends to now share the same front fascia as they did before. not that big of a deal.

3. the one design detail that I actually HATE is the unpainted front portion between the bottom part of the grill and the bottom opening (again, similar to what they did to the XM). WHY IS IT GLOSS BLACK?! it should be painted like the rest of the body. there is no reason why it should be black in the first place. it disrupts the lines and makes the entire front less cohesive.

4. the major price hike sucks too but then again I am too poor to afford it anyway so I guess its irrelevant to me (as are my opinions).

other then that, im still feeling it. a few changes/mods would make this suv even more badass.
I have a feeling this will "burn in" over time and once acclimated to the new design it will seem "right". That said, darker colors (even the m60i) will help blend this all much better. I also suspect this will be better in person.

A few people have mentioned the price hike now... but with Competition being standard (and previously a $9,300 package), isnt this LCI actually cheaper?

EDIT: Nevermind, re-read the articles more closely. Its $4,200 more expensive than previous X6M with Competition.

It seems kind of underwhelming at the same time as I said in another post, the car really doesn't need anymore power. It's already heavy enough and rips through enough tires. I'm sure for those that want the extra 100hp, there's plenty to give out of this engine with a Racechip anyway. Will be interesting to see if the times improve with the extra torque from the mile hybrid.

I guess at least for me, don't see a reason to upgrade until the warranty is up on mine.

Yep. This along with idrive 8 and the CarPlay fiasco is making me seriously consider a Cayenne Turbo instead of a new X6M.

Am I the only one that still hates that the interior seats are not a solid color? I absolutely hate the black contrasting center insert they put on every freaking color choice.

I think the X6M LCI has improved the rear a lot on the predecessor. Glad to see 818 back to X5M though my issue STILL with this car is the console, it is a sport car you need the vintage dashboard like a race car not some electric golf cart?! for those reasons I am out!

Cayenne Turbo would be nice but its still like 50k+ more once you get it optioned similarly no?

I like em, on every color option except the Taruma Brown. Its a nice sportier look IMO.

The press releases were kinda confusing about changes to the rear, I notice no difference on the rear of the X6M... Can you point them out for me? lol

To Panda: I built my ideal Cayenne Turbo and, while it is substantially more money, the gap is much smaller than before. I think my biggest problem is my dislike of idrive 8 and that is compounded by the CarPlay navigation problem in all idrive 8 cars that is being ignored by BMW.

Fair enough. It makes more sense to save/spend a bit more than to "settle" for a 150k car you have gripes with.

I wasnt aware of the CarPlay issues since I'm an Android user and havent kept up with the other side. Altho maybe now I should go read the X7 forums a bit just to see what I'd be in for with iD8.

I've perused the press releases and the UK and DE configurators. None of them mention Highway Assist. But...neither of those configurators mention it for the regular X5 either, and our USA order guide clearly shows USA cars are getting it for the regular X5. Hope may not entirely be lost.

And if Tanzanite is dead, I'll be mourning that too. A really good blue if you don't want something quite as bold as Marina Bay.

A couple of other interesting thing on the foreign configurators:
  1. UK only offers the 818 wheels in machined face. DE offers machined or gloss black. Curious to see which makes it to USA. I personally still like machined face better than all black.
  2. Full leather appears to be the only choice offered, as opposed to the press release that mentions Extended and Full.
  3. No appearance of Air Suspension as an option. I suspect that was a copy paste error in the press release.

Kinda disappointed the light graphic on the passenger dash just says ///M instead of X5M - the way it is, it's identical to an M60i. Would be better to not have it at all, of course.

Really hoping BMW returns to offering logical driver centered cockpits with more physical buttons. Talking about safety, what engineer thought it was a good idea to remove the ACC gap adjustment controls on the steering wheel?
Perfectly articulated - and yikes- that is downright dangerous on the highway if you are using that high end feature.

I think the removal of buttons from car makes might be cost reduction as well as simplifying manufacturing. Not a great result for end users.

I've been bouncing between ideas for what color I want to pick for my X6M. I had finally settled on TB with XPEL Stealth instead of Urban Green with XPEL Stealth. But now if its gone I have to do a bunch of thinking again -_-

I actually like the simple ////////////////M instead of //////////////X5M
Although I was surprised they got rid of the X5M on the center cupholder cover.
