So problem still is that the unit isn’t powering off when car goes to sleep. Thoughts? I wired to the link 3 pin plug.

Make sure you are connecting to the same wires from that Kies video. Mine works fine. Double check.

So I have an F96 2023 X6M and followed to the letter of the Kies video and mine doesnt shut off either even after 20 minutes. Maybe Kies had it reversed and it should be black tap in the bottom black harness and the red in the top smaller harness?

Positive, i was using my phone as the key so the doors wouldnt unlock when i came back to check.

I figured it out. I rewired so that the taps are both in the bottom, larger black housing. Black to black and red to red and now it shuts off when the car goes to sleep. Either Keis was wrong or there is a slight difference between the x5m and x6m or a slight difference between 22 and 23

Oh nice! I did the same as Kies and I have a 24 x5m. It goes to sleep every time. So thsts weird. Well Im glad that worked out!

So the diff must be the x5 and x6, there must be some weird thing, maybe has to do with the lack of the back wiper on the x6 or something weird like that.

So seems the location for power is not shutting down the detecto any thoughts?
Correction, it shuts off so when I get in the car, it gives me a battery warning message

Something is commected in the wrong spot. I mever seen an error. Make sure you inserting the positive snd negative correctly or its not touching another cable, etc.
