I have no interest in downpipes on my X5 but have them on my M4 with the straight minicats and understand how these systems work. Simply adding support for the OP’s experience. Let us know what you hear from Lieb. Also do your own research, this isn’t new territory.

Apparently the device from LEIB-ENGINEERING works on the F95/F96 and I think I am going to give it a shot. |

Catless Dp's sound great on that engine. We have F95 downpipes if anyone needs a set.

I ran DPs for 20k miles and tbh, they were nothing but a headache. Without a tune, they are really pointless and mess up your A/F ratio. Car just doesn't run optimally.
I ran O2 spacers and that helped the CEL for awhile but eventually the CEL came on regularly. Performance gain is negligible without a tune and the smell is very present if you're not used that amount of hydrocarbon. They do sound AMAZING with the turbo whistle and all, but cold start is ridiculously loud and obnoxious. Also be prepared for dealer to refuse warranty work and also if you lease, you could also void your contract due to modyfing the emissions system. I had several issues with my F95 that BMW refused work due to DPs. BMW is not messing around with modified cars now and even if you have a friendly dealer, their hands may be tied as well. If you're not going all in with a tune and giving up your power train warranty altogether, I'd stay away from these on this car while under warranty. They do sound very good but the juice isn't worth the squeeze and I can say that from experience. YMMV |

I also have Racechip Black GTS with it and a device like LEIB-ENGINEERING so no CEL and no mess with A/F ratio. The only problem there is cold start which is too noisy...everything else is better |

Installed my catless DP's and used a set of O2 spacers. car was fine for a day and CEL came on today.
i dont mind it, but i lose the remote start function which in Houston is a must IMO. OP can you please advise on what spacers your shop used?
