I can't seem to find the parts on European resellers of Maxton Design. Did you get them straight from them or where did you buy these?

And as asked by someone before, is your car Saphire Black? How big is the color difference in real liefe between the parts and the car?
My car was demo for them, so you need to wait a while until those parts will be availble in their e-shop. My car is carbon black. Part are jet black (it's also carbon option) so they are little different from my car, but it's better for me

I have the EBay version which is awesome. Install was very easy - my wife did it for me. (She is handy)

Here's a BEFORE and AFTER shot with the Black Grill.

Very happy with the Black eBay grill from Taiwan, it not too different in quality and weight from the original factory grill.

I'm still trying to work out Arctic Grey, its a very unique colour, that's in full sunlight, and its got a lilac tinge to it !

The BMW M Performance version for nightvision is 51 13 8 096 591. The 889 part number is for the factory chrome front grille.

Nothing in the U.S warehouses but we should have them within 12 days from Germany.

I’m in the build process and have pretty much decided on the packages, and am leaning heavily to Mineral White. However I’m not sure I like the back hole or panda look with the extended shadowline package. BTW, I think it makes more sense on a black or dark color, and I “thought” I would like the contrast, but after looking at over the last few days, I’m thinking I would tire of it over time. Something about the classic look vs the trendy look maybe. dunno

Anyone feel the same way after getting your white X5 w/ extended shadowline?

I wouldn't, the IND grill is painted over the chrome and even with ceramic coating, it will get damaged. Mine took 1 rock and now has a beautiful white/silver chip. I can post a pic for you
Ceramic is more ment to protect from scratching from regular washing. PPF would be the best recommendation as it is very thick and has self healing properties.

I'm in the same situation. Still deciding if I want to paint the upper air flaps all black. What made you decide to leave the chrome bits as it is?

This is what I did.
I would have made the colored stripes only 1-2" tall. it would look more like the BMW M logos.

I think the big grills are the worst part of the design and black trim helps minimize the look

Looks great. Did you have to send yours to them or bought new set? What did you do while you're were off if you sent them out (and how long did it take?)?

Thanks!

Bought this gloss black grill on Amazon. The item originated from Taiwan. Got it installed yesterday. Will black out the exhaust tips this weekend.

We have mineral white (M Sport). I've seen one with the black grill and something about it doesn't look quite right to me. Maybe it's all the adjacent "chrome" in the headlights and the fact that the wheels have machined metal faces. If the wheels were also black maybe that would do the trick. What I really think would look good is the true classic look with the chrome surround and black slats.

No regrets. My Cayenne neighbor remarked on how clean and integrated it looked. Both of us apparently noticed that the car looks unfinished/bipolar if it has the shadowline on the side but not on the grill.

Really happy with the Mineral White with the gloss black grill. Actually changed it as mine originally came with chrome.

I'm going back and forth on this subject. Too much back on a white car reminds me of a land based Shamu.

However, on a dark car, my F80 for example, black is a must.

Edit: **WARNING** If you don't know what Shamu is, and you have a white car with a lot of black, then please don't look up a picture. You won't be able to unsee it.
