Have that same issue on my F15, hate it on long journeys when I make a brief stop for gas or similar. What helped is to forget the device on the iPhone and then hook it up again. Cheers

I'm just down I81 from Harrisburg. If they actually do know how to activate the cornering lights I'll be making a service appointment. I'm still doubtful.

Likewise, I’m in Lancaster and I’d be willing to drive up there.

When you say it's been reliable, what problems were you having before? Mine seems to connect quickly and reliably but on a call it transfers back to my phone for a few seconds before coming back to CarPlay. This happens every 5 min or so.

You guys are killing me . . .

But I have them, and they work. I may have the only X5 that does, according to the service staff I spoke with (unless someone has hacked their X5, which I thought someone in another thread said they did). I had a lengthy discussion with the service writer and the shop foreman, who was responsible for nagging BMW NA to get them to do this. Apparently, BMW screwed up the cornering light software in the new X5, as in they forgot to activate it. There is a new software release scheduled for "soon, maybe April" that will fix it. In my case, they had to open an IRAP case, and have the BMW tech(s) at BMW NA remotely modify the software in my car to get it to work. I'm running software version 03/2019.30 (what happened to the other versions of software? I swear I used to have ".49", but I don't remember the "03/2019" part).

I've attached two photos to show you that the cornering lights are working, but the video I have is much better. I can't figure out how to upload a video, but I've attached a link:

https://youtu.be/KNWRWTbgFIk

Cornering light off (note wheel orientation)

Cornering light on (hard to see wheel orientation, but it's turned)

Not the rear seat wrinkles as it can easily be taken care of with a hot wet wash cloth. Videos on removing leather wrinkles are all over YouTube yet I guess it’s easier to bitch about them and not remove them. I have very minor ones and will demo how to remove them when my weather gets warmer. I have done this many times on different vehicles. I have even been able to take out seat dents from my kids car seats on my RS4 years ago. Any auto upholstery shop would gladly remove them with their steam gun for a small fee if so inclined. It would take 15 minutes max.
