Awesome, congratulations!! Any early feedback on ride quality? Is it stiff, given the M version? Did you go for air suspension? Is it wake-the-neighbors loud?

I wish it was mine, I work at the dealership. This one doesn't have air suspension or integral active steering. Haven't really driven it yet as it's still in transport mode. It has a nice growl, but not like the M850i in terms of cracks and pops.

Can't wait to see it after PDI. I ordered mine in Carbon Black with Ivory/Blue full merino, so it's great to finally see one in US spec instead of trying to view it on the BMW DE configure-your-own site.

Right, very discouraging. Same thing happened when my wife wanted to buy her GTi. She had a diesel that was caught up in the VW dieselgate and we waited till the last few months before selling it back to VW. We saw that Europe had 2018 GTi's on their build site in late 2017 but not the US. Called VW NA, they hadn't a clue, just said to wait. Then we noticed there were 2018 GTi's popping up on dealer lots, went back to the build site and it still said 2017. The US site didn't get theirs updated till late March 2018 for the 2018 model year. I hope BMW isn't following that trend or we'll be waiting till next year!

No roof rails??? Or is it just the picture angle?

Curious because the image of my order in the BMW Garage does not show roof rails. Thought it was just a bug, but maybe not?

Noticed that myself - (3MC) Roof rails in High-gloss Shadowline should be standard. It doesn't list it on the build sheet though, even the ones I have on order have no mention of it and it's not a selectable option either.

Order guide shows them as standard. Going to have to get my CA on the case ASAP.

Good eye! The car does NOT look good without the rails. WTF? Let us know what you figure out. Do you have an M50 on order?

Agree it needs the rails. Just emailed my CA. Will let you know what he says.

Yes, I have one ordered.

Cerium grey looks nice except for upkeep. They'll water spot like crazy unless you ceramic coat or them or clean them regularly.

This is nit-picky, but those silver braces in the engine compartment need to be painted black. Makes them look like an on-the-cheap afterthought and they detract from the magnificent engine!

I have one on order too, and it looks like the tracking page for my car does NOT show the roof rails. WTF? I emailed BMW Genius to see if they have any insight.

This is either:
1.) BMW being cheap or
2.) A systemic production error

Both are unacceptable and would lead to me cancelling my order unless dealer promises a retrofit after delivery.
