Lane Change Assist Works Sometimes
Hello everyone,
I have DAPP on my X6 )(iDrive 7) and have figured out how to use the assisted driving mode quite well. I have also figured out how to use Lane Change Assist, however it doesn't always work. So wondering if certain conditions need to be met for it to work. For example if I have been on a multilane high way for a few minutes and have been using assisted driving constantly during that period if it will most likely work. But other times even on a high way I will press the indicator up to the resistance and instead it will just disengage temporarily the assisted driving and only re-engage once I have manually changed lanes, it will not do the automatic lane change on its own like it previously did. Even if there are no cars next to me. Has anyone had experience with this and is there specific conditions where it works e.g. specific speeds, certain amount of time that has passed since engaged assisted driving etc? |

The first thing of course would be that you are using the stalk differently on the times it doesn't work but let's put that aside. Where it doesn't work is it consistent? It could be the way the road is denoted in the navigation data. It has to be a divided highway in the system for the lane change to work. There is also a minimum speed which I think is 40mph.
