Production timelines?

I am in Canada and this is my story. Put order Jan.13,2021, got my production number from the dealer Jan. 23,2021. I called BMW Genius ( because Canadians can't track their orders online) and agent told me my BMW x5 45e will be in production week 6 ( Feb.8-Feb.12 2021). So vehicle will be at the dealership mid -March.
Today I tried to find out my order status and received such an answer - my car "is in transit status" !!!! I just got VIN a few days ago and before that the agent said that my production will be week 6 (Feb.8-Feb.12). So what this is "in transit" means? Going to production or vehicle completed and going to dealership? May be someone know?

In Transit means that it is traveling to the dealer. They must have moved up your production slot.

Finally picked it up! A little dirty and still wrapped as it's now at the detailer. Will post pics once the paint correction, PPF, and ceramic coating is on.

I called today and founded new information about my order. " In transit" it means my vehicle going from status 112 (production order) to 150 (production started). So the BMW stick with their previous plans production (Feb.8 to Feb.12). I think it's impossible just for 3 weeks get completed order.

I highly doubt that is what it means, more than likely the status got screwed up somehow.

. On the Canada side the agent able to provide very limited info. I am ordered X5 45e fully loaded packages and already installed in my garage Level 2 charger.

Just ignore what the US agents say, they likely can’t see it so are just guessing. Go with BMW Canada.

Got it back from the detailer and it's just an absolute work of art

Had them paint the fender flares to body color while it was in there

Genius saying yours went from "transit" to "production" is backwards

when my vehicle was "in transit", production was already done, and it was on a truck being delivered to the dealership.

Thanks nZtiZia! How is you charge working? How long take it to full charge battery? How many miles did you get driving PURE ELECTRICAL MODE for one full charge? Unfortunately my vehicle will be mid-March delivered to the dealer, it's still in production and I can get very limited info about my order( I am Canadian). Honestly, can't wait!

Yes sir. PPF and ceramic on the car.

I've always loved the depth and shine on jet black but those products really added a whole new level

Did you do PPF on the whole thing or just the front? Have an appointment for my arriving car, but I’m still not sure how much PPF I’m going for.

Full bumper
Full hood
Full fender L/R
Lenses
A-pillars
Roof header
Side mirrors

And then the odds and ends like
Door sills
Door edges
Door cups
Behind the rear license plate

Ran me about $1,700 or so for that setup with STEK DynoShield

I’ve planned something similar. Full front with ceramic coating incl wheel. My cost is close to $3K all in, but prices around here are insane. That said, I am going to place a few more calls this weekend.

Yep. Same thing here. Full front, etc, door cups, back bumper and ceramic for $3k. Expensive but worth it.

Yeah that sounds about right for me as well.

The $1,700 was for the PPF alone. Another $1,300 for the ceramic (wheel barrels and calipers too)

And I paid about another $400 for the fender flares to be painted

All in $3400 which yeah it's expensive but I figure it's about 4.3% of the vehicle's cost and will protect the finish/making maintenance easier.
