I guess that's the way to go. If I do 2nd order I will hold on to both till I pick one up.

UPDATE : Looks like that dealer is actually upscaling by throwing on dealer add ons. I will wait for Oct allocations from my current dealer.

Yes, unfortunately many are still doing that. Hopefully you get an allocation soon.

Yep.

Usually when I call a dealer, first questions are always…

- Do you sell out of Market?
- Do you add a Market Adjustment?
- Do you have any required Dealer addon's?

Unfortunately, I had to take the dealer add-ons. However, I do get some (although little) value out of it. Tinted windows, PPF around the doors, etc.

But it being the only allocation I could find, I had little choice.

I mean, I'm not inherently against all dealer add-ons if I was going to add them myself (Tint, Wheel Locks, Rubber Mats, etc.)

I am against the "Desert protection" or comprable packages they sell which is just a crappy ceramic coating someone may or may not apply at the dealership at like 500% markup lol.

South East Dealers selling/ordering at MSRP?

Can anyone recommend dealers in the US Southeast who will sell off the lot or order a vehicle and sell at MSRP? I'm just looking for a basic X5, nothing special. I'm in Atlanta so the closer the better. Also want to avoid mandatory dealer add ons like wax jobs, tire insurance, maintenance packages, lifetime battery replacement, VIN etching, leather sealer for vehicles with vinyl seats, life insurance, gym memberships, etc.

Honestly, just give most of your local dealers a ring. I have found far more aren't trying to market adjustment game or mandatory dealer add-ons, then those that are.

I would think most of the dealerships are selling at MSRP or below at this point. You may run into some with mandatory add ons unfortunately.

Despite the tight market for the '23 X5 45e I was able to order one at below MSRP and picked up the vehicle this week without issue. I had to shop around and go out of state but it was well worth it.

MSRP: $79,620
Discount: 3% or $2,389
NavyFed: $2,000
EV Tax Credit: $7,500

No dealer add-ons or marked up fees. Taking into account the EV tax credit come tax time and before sales tax, price would be approximately $67,731. Net discount was almost 15% which is insane in this market. Not as good as pre-covid where some were getting high teens with discount + tax credit. The kicker was getting a 72 month loan at 1.49% through a local credit union before rates jumped up.

Unfortunately the dealership I purchased from after they took my order only sold at MSRP going forward. I was extremely lucky and fortunate to have had the help of a few forum members.

I have 3 options for you:
- I know a dealer in CA that will do 9% off. If you factor in the shipping you will still likely be better off than paying MSRP
- we can check if you can get the same discount on a new build and get it delivered at the performance center in SC if you have time to wait
- you can find a broker that will get you about 5% in your area but be careful with inventory that may have been flooded

Yea, BMWFS has consistently been 1% or higher than most Credit Unions.

The question is if that 1% is bmw FS or bmw FS is 3.99 and the dealership marks up 1%

BMWFS. The dealerships try to tack on an additional 1% on their posted rates.

Considering the prices of even the nice to have items like tint is so much above market price due to the dealer markups, I'm fully against add-ons.

Guess it depends. The few dealers who want to add Tint for $400 but costs closer to $250. Not going to lose sleep over $150.

Any idea what the base MF is currently?

I'm getting .0023 which seems really high.

I'm looking at an X5 xDrive45e @ MSRP of $83470

Thanks for any help...

You can get it from Edmunds, but don’t lease the 45e because you’re not going to get the tax credit.

Base is .00190, dealers are allowed to mark it up .00040. As mentioned, if you are able to get it prior to the end of the year you probably want to purchase instead of lease but run the numbers and see if you are comfortable with them.
