Unfortunately no. My dealer ended up swapping out my unit but the noise was/is still there. I was hoping that this issue would be addressed in the MY22 but that looks to not be the case. I would still call BMW NA and make a complaint.

Called BMW NA but they had no information on the new part. I'm going to call my dealership to see if they have any info on it but in short, looks like the part number changed. Figured I'd throw this out there to see if anyone else had any good resources to see if anything changed with this new part.

Called the parts department who said the same thing. Called my service rep and stated he would get in touch with his manager to get approval to reach out the technician rep for the area. |

I just picked up new X3 and have similar issues :/
noise coming from central console. i would describe it as having an amp on full volume but no music playing. kind of static. But i when i use the power button on the volume knob I get a different noise from HVAC area every time i switch it on and off :/ I also get a high pitched noise coming from the car after unlocking coming from underneath or engine bay (hard to establish) can be heard from 2 meters took it to the garage twice already. no one can hear it. I can partially believe it as working in noisy env can damage your ears but that's not an excuse ... |

Hey everyone!
I recently picked up a 2019 X5 G05, and I started to hear this high pitch sound as well. It was driving me crazy, as it would do it in the morning and go away later. I took it in for the latest recall, and service. I told my service advisor and apparently the tech was able to reproduce it, pulled up a bulletin that suggested reprogram the whole vehicle with latest software. They did that, and so far so good. I will report back if it comes back. They did mention something about an error in the "RAM" section. But the hi pitch sound is gone for now.

My car will be going in at the end of July for the Emergency Call System Malfunction issue and would like to give them some possible fixes for the noise issue. Thanks |

Update everyone!
My dealership recently took a ride with me in the vehicle and service manager foreman heard the noise and said they would fix it. I just picked it up from service and took it on a test drive, so far no more high frequency noise at all. Will keep everyone posted. The fix: They replaced all of the plastic windshield trim on the sides and few other areas.

Sorry for the delay guys. I will post up paperwork here shortly. Above is one of the services they conducted. For the longest time, I swear the noise was coming from the HVAC center console area. It turns out it was from the outside and the molding replacement fixed it.

Found the source of the noise. Working to see if I can replace it with a higher quality component, if not will try some hot glue. Silicone didn’t do the trick. This is the board from the HVAC control unit

It sure is. I’ve tried some insulation foam and a few other things but the noise still permeates through. If I apply pressure to the side of that component, it stops.
I’m working with a guy that repairs circuit boards and is trying to source a new part to solder in there. I tried hot glue yesterday but didn’t work unfortunately. The number on there is D08021 for reference. |

Yeah they look fine, as far as I can see….I tried putting some hot glue on the back side as well but didn’t help. It needs quite a bit force on the side to stop it from making the noise. You can hear the frequency changing a bit depending on how much force it used
