What do you mean by that? The spare cavity is there and the same carpeted structure regardless of whether you purchase spare at order or afterwards. The only difference might be that the securing rod for the spare might not be in the cavity if not purchased at order, but the spare is heavy enough and doesn't shift or vibrate that you don't particularly need the securing rod.

So Bimmerzone does sell and there are links on this forum. But good lord they run at $589 for the same donut and $190 for the Jack kit. http://www.bimmerzone.com/bmw-x5-g05...ace-saver.html? Yikes. Looks like I will just be looking at a tire patch kit and a small compressor. Thanks though. |

Just be happy that you can even get it at all. BMW Canada still believes that a spare is impossible on a G05 X5. Unbelievable idiots.

For examples, here are some of the earliest posted forum pics of the factory-ordered spare compartment: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=23964115 https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24393320 https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24395858 https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24977065 This one was not factory ordered (a Canadian retrofit), but interesting because of the luggage package and brace that doesn't appear to be present on non-luggage package versions: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24879816

The Front: 275/45 R21 Rear: 315/40 R21 setup is working great on my X5. I am not sure if it would be the same on G06 M50.

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1758397 I asked three BMW Geniuses before purchasing the tires, and they all confirmed it would work, but have to adjust the tire size on the iDrive accordingly. |

but how do you do that when 275/45R21 isn't a selectable option in the menu? Please post a screenshot for all to see.

On iDrive, choose Tire Pressure Monitor: Click on Tire Settings: First change Tire type to Winter/All-year, then go to Mounted winter tires: At the bottom of the list you could find Other tires, check the radio button. Once you selected the Other tires, as you exit, a small message comes up asking you if you want to save the changes, select yes. Then enjoy the much smoother ride. I usually keep the front pressure to 36 PSI, and rear ones to 41 PSI ( I know, my tires need air ). |

I have friends who have ContiPremium Contact 6 tires on their cars. They said this tire provides exceptional braking performance and excellent grip. I have never tried to install it on my car before, but I would gladly give it a chance in the future. I used to shop for my car accessories, including tires on 4wheelonline.

Need to replace tires again now, so looking at prices and stock, may have to improvise again. |
