If you guys that ordered a 2022 can still adjust your build, let me know and I’ll take over your allocation. I don’t liked that in order to get merino you have to get the exec package…or the price increase.

I have been on a wait list for a 2022 and thought it would be a June allocation, which it was. But with shortages the allocation got pushed to the first 2023 vehicle builds (should be July or august). Don’t have a production number yet, so someone can take mine over if you want a 2023 build

I wasn’t told a specific build week, only that my order will be among the first for 2023 for my dealership. I had been on the waitlist for that dealership since February. So this really sucks. Should have just called another dealership and made plans to travel to get it if you wanted the 2022 so badly. A lot of people did that.

Unfortunately it sounds like they didn't give you an allocation this time around. They were given out earlier this week so you should have gotten a prod number by now. Sorry to hear they have been stringing you along like this. Did they give you a discount or something and maybe they are passing you over for MSRP customers?

My CA just said they will convert my MY22 to MY23 and Luxury Seating Pkg is available, only thing is Cognac Sensafin not leather

Think I am going to stick with 22. Only things I thought we really wanted was ventilated seats, laser lights and HK radio. I have researched all and none of them seem worthy enough to give up leather for fake and still pay $2K more even after dropping 22" wheels. We thoughtfully ordered vernasca instead of merino and I have a hard time paying this much for fake leather. I will admit it's nice but.....still not leather. The hitch would really be the only thing I would gladly pay to add.

You might not have a choice, only few weeks remaining for July and many MY22 will get converted to MY23 (options & prices)

BMW should honor the pricing according to BMW Genius for MY22 converted to MY23

My production date is 7/25 so should slip in there for 22. Talked to CA today about possible changes and he said nothing about changing to 23 but only time will tell for sure.

I spoke to the sales manager who said it was simply that the allocation in June was pushed to MY23. As you imply, I may have been passed over for someone else who wasn't getting a discount for the MY22 vehicles, since the markup on the MY23s went up. Yes, I am getting 2% off MSRP because I purchased a 2021 x7 and 2021 45e from this dealership in the past year.

I was just told that my vehicle would be a 2023 last week, and just recently saw the pricing sheet and different packages available, so yes, I am scrambling to find a 2022 vehicle that has what I wanted. But at this late stage, any 2022s would be already built and any new dealer would not offer any discounts. Which is fine I suppose and I would purchase a 2022 at MSRP if I could find that is feasibly close...I did find one that was close per the build I want, but it would be $2000 to ship it to me (it is in California), which kind of negates trying to get a 2022.

In the end, the price is higher for a 2023 and I guess I don't mind having laser lights (as long as they are still part of the package) but it really bothers me that there are so many mandates on packages if you only want leather now in a $75K+ vehicle. Requiring exec package for anyone wanting leather seems crazy to me, but I guess they make more money that way and that's what is important in the end

I thought you said you didn't have a production number. If you do then you will see the change on MyGarage. If you didn't have one from the June allocation then you never had an allocation and he was just pushing you back. Either way, hope you find something.

Truthfully I am confused by everything and the verbiage I have been given. I was called in June and was told "your allocation is here" and they confirmed the build. Then no news for weeks, and when I called to ask the SA said there hadn't been any movement on the allocations likely because of the MY changeover. The sales manager said my allocation was in a "pending" status (again I have no idea what that means) since it was pushed to 2023 and that my vehicle would be in the first batch of their 2023 builds. So, did they receive July 2022 builds and just pushed mine to August, when it would be 2023? I am starting to think that is the case.

In my recent search for 2022s, I did talk with a few other dealers who did confirm that some of their late MY2022 allocations for 45es were pushed into August for 2023 builds. So maybe what I am going through isn't so strange. A California dealer said that the dealerships that routinely order a lot of 45es got a bit more preference??

My take on it is that you never had and still don't have an allocation. Unless they provide you with a production number all they are doing is putting you on a waiting list. When they receive their allocations then they decide what customers get those allocations. Ask him to provide you with the production number, if they can't give it to you then you know what is going on.

At this point it really doesn't matter though since you didn't get a MY22 you will just concentrate on getting the MY23 that you want. Once you get it all of this will be forgotten and you will be enjoying it.
