PCD 3 weeks out, sign today?, MF, and tire protection Help.

CA said we need to come in and do paperwork this week as "rates are due to go up Monday." I can only imagine he means the MF. As is they have given a MF of 0.0023 but working back into numbers on BMW site and checking with Edmunds it's 0.0019. They quoted $2,675 for 5 yr tire & wheel protection and I asked him to prorate for 3 and he came back with $2,365 which makes zero sense. This is an insurance policy and that's what I do for a living. Prorated policy charges are calculated by days in force. Starting to feel jerked around a bit.

He’s definitely trying to jerk around. Tire protection plan pricing is arbitrary. He’s likely making at least $2300 markup on it going straight to his pocket. I’ve negotiated a tire protection package couple years ago down to a total of $400. For $2675 you can by yourself TWO new sets of tires!!

The plan is not and insurance policy but more so a service agreement. You can also cancel it at anytime and get a prorated refund based on how many months you had it and how much you paid for it.

I’d say if he goes down to maybe $800 for the 3 years but definitely not a dime more.

I purchased the tire and wheel protection on my 45e. I wished I hadn’t. After 1 year I got a nail in one tire. When I purchased the sales guy said they would replace the tire no questions asked. But when I went to my local dealer they said they would patch it rather than replace it. I complained and said run flats weren’t supposed to be patched. After three days of arguing they agreed to replace the tire. But it was a lesson to me that ultimately it may depend on your local dealer and could be a hassle. So unless they give you a screaming deal in it, may not be worth it

run flats are supposed to be replaced only if you get a nail in your tire and are paying out of pocket.

How does PCD show up in F12? Just hoping to see if there's progress in F12...

There is nothing in the F12 data that will show you are doing PCD. The vehicle will go though the normal steps and "At the Dealer" should be the performance center.

I got them down to $1600 and will keep it for probably a year or so until I know my wife isn't going to blowing out tires or damaging wheels and then cancel. The contract is only for four tires or wheels and if we don't have a claim within a year then it will make no sense to keep it and they will return my money.
