2 Problems with my G05 - help please!
Hi all; just picked up my new X5 today (pics coming soon).
I've hit two issues I was hoping someone could help me with/point me in the right direction for. 1. Automatic Time & Date not working - when trying to set time and date to auto (a checkbox you click to enable automatic time adjustment for daylight savings) the checkbox won't check. I noticed the local time was also initially incorrect. The checkbox isn't greyed out, simply nothing happens when i click it. Any ideas? 2. GPS location all wrong - the native map in iDrive is getting my car's location all wrong, and isn't able to track my car at all while in map view. According to the iDrive map, I'm literally 20-30KMs away from where the map says I am. Not sure what's happening there. Any ideas? Thanks all! |

All true. But he (the dealer) obviously didn't. I'm assuming taking it to the dealer involves at least some inconvenience, although that's certainly the next step if someone doesn't have a solution here. The forum is actually great for that.

As others have said, your dealer should have gone through and set all this stuff up before delivery. However, in my experience the automatic date/time thing has never worked right. Not in the G05, not in our F15. It works, but every year at the time of the time change for DST, it doesn't change the clock unless you go in there and manually toggle the setting to automatically set the time. But I think you have larger annoying issues at play here. |

Thanks! Sadly, no solution yet.
Thanks all. I called the dealer today, no answer yet, will find out.

Yes. We are in a very well built up...
Yup. I live in a big market (5th largest city in North America actually), so don’t think this is the problem. At least, I hope not?
