Tire Recommendations

It's finally getting about time for me to take change my first set of tires. Had some questions about tire selections and was wondering if anybody could recommend some.

First and foremost, thinking about hopping out of the run flats since I have a spare. Is the ride quality going to be improved enough to warrant?

Second, anybody have any preference between the Pirelli P-Zero and Scorpion Verdes?

275/40 r21 in the Front and 315/35 r21 in the back so options are limited. Daily driver with her in Arkansas and Oklahoma so snow is a once-twice year occurrence here.

I prefer the round ones.....

I had the P-zero on my 50i and loved them, but right now I have the non run flat michelin power sports and enjoy them. Honestly for how many times my wife have used the run flats (without spare) I enjoy the piece of mind. I cannot comment on comfort of the power sports since the x5mc is stiffer to begin with. I would have bought the P-zero again if I had to replace them for sure.

I have the Scorpions on my X5 and am pretty well satisfied with them. I just put a set of the Verdes on my wife's RX. They are goflats so they ride a lot softer and do handle well.

we are in similar situation; we have a spare and was thinking of going with the non runflat if it gave us a more comfort ride.

also, if we were to go non runflats route and only need to replace 2 wheel first. any downside of running 2 runflats and 2 non runflats, till other 2 need replacing? or replace all 4 at the same time? we have msport

assuming you have p zeros before? is it a huge difference for comfort?
another reason we want to switch is because we want to take it up north with snow during winter. probably only couple times a year but afraid of driving in snow with them pzero.

I have a 2020 X7 with All Season NON Run Flat tires (Bridgestone Alenza). When I had my X7 in for service they gave me a loaner X7. Within 2 minutes of driving it I noticed a substantial decrease in ride quality and noise level of the vehicle. I said to myself: "Hmmm... I bet this car has Run Flat tires. I checked the tires when I got home and sure enough they were Run Flat tires.

I will never buy Run Flat tires for any of my vehicles unless I have no other choice.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4's are now an option. Treadwear of 220 but worth every penny. I'm due for a set soon and will likely pick up a set pending availability

I'm with you in spirit. But, I'm frugal enough to wait until may run craps are worn down a bit before I switch.

For sure, I will never buy run flats other than as OEM on a new car.

I've had one flat in 30 years and run flats would not have helped in my situation. I'm not going to let fear and peace of mind dictate my ride quality.

DO NOT DRIVE P-ZEROS IN SNOW. UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT TRACTION AND STOPPING.

Anyone used Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 or 5
They are coming up the cheapest for my 22 inch staggered set up.
Costco have them at a very good price.

I've not been impressed with Goodyear tires on any of my previous vehicles, but have not driven them recently...things might have changed.

My new X5 45e comes standard with two axle air suspension, and I've not felt the RFT were a big problem. RFT get better with each model. FWIW, with the 45e, there's no place to put a spare...the EV batteries are there (well, actually the gas tank is moved, and that's there!).

Michelin has some they call run-on-flat...won't go the 50-miles unless lightly loaded, but I found them a better solution than the Goodyears.
