$250 parts dept. credit- suggestions?
My dealer gave me a $250 credit for the parts dept I can use on actual parts, or any other product such as cleaning supplies, floormats, apparel, etc. I already have the rubber front mats and a cargo mat and can't think of much else useful to put it to use on. Anyone have suggestions?

That was very nice of them. On my list would be the BMW Battery Tender 61432408594 and locking lug nuts. I am also debating the replacement door projectors that shine the BMW logo or one of several options on the pavement when opening the doors.

Storage Area Mat...
I've been a big fan of the rubber storage area mat. The carpet in the back is especially prone to dog hair and dirt (especially with a black interior and dark carpet). The BMW mat is especially nice (with a metal BMW logo insignia) and you can pull it out and hose it down.
My favorite easy accessory, but I like the tender and lug ideas above as well! Adam |

Don't waste your money on the door light. You can get them off amazon for $25.00.

Battery tender was an excellent idea if the vehicle ever sits for periods of time in the garage or parked...you can keep your battery up to snuff (either type works...one costs more than the other, though)
Other useful things that come to mind are: tire gauge Leather care License Plate Frame (if you don't like free advertising for someone else) Snowbrush (if you live in snow country)

Depending on where you carry your keyfob, you might like a cover for it to help prevent inadvertent triggering a button. I had it trigger the alarm, open the hatch and unlock the car one time. My cover should arrive today, and I'll see how that works out!
The pull-out cover to protect the bottom hatch when loading/unloading things may be handy. I'll be carrying my recumbent trike back there on occasion, and protecting it would be useful. |

Thanks all for the recommmendations. Unfortunately I already have floor mats, a cargo mat, roof rack, key fob cover, and a tire gauge haha. My car is my daily driver so never goes more than a day without being driven. I had a F15 prior to the G05 so roof rack, key cover, etc. all just carried over. The search goes on!

There's always BMW swag you can blow that money on, too.

Did you order the spare tire and jack? There's that.

This credit was from a mishap with a service issue I was in for, and they only wanted it used on something they had in stock. Given special orders weren't feasible I ended up picking up another set of rubber floor mats. I'll use the back ones which I didn't have, and will probably let the front ones go in the classifieds for a steal for someone else to get use of.

I'd strongly advise you to remove the locking wheel nuts and replace them with standard bolts.
In my experience, tyre shops frequently over-tighten wheel bolts. With locking bolts, it's harder to get the grip on the teeth to open them again. I had to have my last car (430d) lifted by a recovery company and have a specialist remove a frozen locking-nut. The bolt was irreparably damaged when I tried to remove it to replace a tyre. This all happened because the bolt was fitted using an air tool -exceeding the 140Nm recommended torque. Not sure what the wheel-theft situation is in your area but it's not a 'thing' in Ireland. Besides, the tilt alarm will go off if the car is jacked while locked. I'd much rather take the chance on the theft of my wheels than risk being stuck on the side of the road with a frozen bolt -my M50d runs on 22" non-runflats Anyway, I have my machine two weeks and picked these up... will fit tomorrow. €25 in Ireland. Probably about $2 in the US given how cheap everything automotive seems to be over there so you'll have $248 left!
