Has anyone tried to wrap or tint the plastic wheel arches on x-line?
Just curious if anyone ever looked into this on current X5 or previous generation and if it's easier to remove them to just wrap or even paint them?

One option would be to prime it and then paint it with BMW paint, but I want something non-permanent and I am just curious how it would look.

You cannot wrap that plastic - as it will not adhere. It either has to be sanded, primed and painted...or swapped out.
I did the paint on my 2018 - and while it was 98% perfect...you can never 100% get rid of the texture.

Same
Unpainted xLine wheel arches = Painted M Sport wheel arches. Different xLine rocker panels /=/ M rocker panels xLine front and rear bumpers /=/ M Sport front and rear bumpers. TLDR; no physical difference, dimension between xLine and M Sport wheel arches, just cosmetic and finish - unpainted, painted.

Yeah - personally I prefer the x-line look, although I saw somewhere I don't remember someone swapped in the painted flares for pretty cheap so I figured if I wanted to change it later I could.
