I will be doing this today. Just coded off the volume pop-up yesterday.

Where is this located in Bimmercode? I'm not seeing it.

You are doing this on a G05 or G01?

I checked ECU's for G05 and there were all new ones. Attached PDF highlighting unmapped CAFD's for G-series.

I guess we will find out when someone tests Bimmercode on a G05.

As far as I know RC only affects motor management. It has no "interface" to all the other control boxes inside the vehicle.

Yea...all I can go off of is what Bimmercode wrote me. So we'll see.

RaceChip is a tuning chip to increase engine horsepower. It doesn't and will not limit you from coding thr car.

If anyone local to me and willing to let me play with it for a day or two, I'll code the car for free and maybe other things too.
M Sport model in Alpine White is preferred.

Impressive considering they are not on the road. Wonder how developer tested.

Website also says software can code HUD turnsignals, which cannot be done on Digital clusters.

I just tried bimmerCode on my G05, no luck, none of the ECUs are recognized. Having said that, my car just came back from the dealer after the software update they had to do.

I wonder if BimmerCode needs to update their app

Contact the developer.

Also click on settings at the bottom right and see if coding is unlocked at the top.

Sounds like what I predicted.

Bimmercode will need to update their app to support new ECU's.

Yea I know my set up is working cause I coded my friends 2018 X1 the same day.

With my G05 it scans all the ECUs and goes to the selection page just fine. Its just that only one ECU comes up as green, and then when you click it none of the options show up. All the other modules say ECU not supported.

Which one comes up Green?

Does list of not supported show actual ECU's? Do you have screen shots?

Sorry to dredge back up a kind of old thread, but has anybody been able to successfully code beyond what can be controlled in iDrive on G05 using this app?

I just want to know before I pull the trigger on purchasing the app. I already have the cable and a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE adapter.

THANKS!

May want to check Carly it is the other coding app that works from mobile, not sure if it really can support a G05 either, I use it on my F15 and E93, it has the G05 in the listing, you can get the free version and see if it will tell you what will work or not.

The other choice will probably be to use e-sys with updated daten files that support the G05 but will take some time for people to sort through all the modules and see what can and can't be coded - that is what I had to do with my 14 X3 when it first came out, nothing was figured out, so slogged through e-sys and figured out a few things I needed (like close the hatch from the remote).

Can't even code the G05 with E-SYS yet. I noticed a couple new ecu's , a lot of trimmed files and a lot of renaming codes so the cheat codes no longer work. I highly doubt this app will work right now on the G05.

The apps will probably take a while to get updated to work I would suspect also. Esys will work with latest daten files as dealer needs to obviously work on the cars, so November Daten should be good, as long as your psdzdata file version is >= Ista version use to program the car then you have what you need, cheat codes are not going to be available until people get connected to the cars and go through all the ECU options. Happy to start building out the cheat sheet as soon as I have my car, I will connect and start translating modules and others will do the same, but it will take a few months for everyone to get options figured out and tested.

Already working on that. I have the latest psdzdata and can connect to the car and read the ECU's. Problem is all the trimmed files.

You can use E-sys to generate file set before car arrives. Not very exiting with trimmed files.

I am wondering, and I know this is a long shot, if I can get the German dealership out here to re-code so things that aren’t in the US version of the G05. (Like the anti-dazzle laser lights, etc...)
