other users have reported that issue and gotten it fixed for free so I'd say yes. Do you extend the cushion while driving? what's your usage like? I'm curious to see if there's a pattern

I better not have any of these problems after 11 days (and counting) in "Quality Check". I'm sorry this happened but the warranty should take care of it. I would ask for a brand new seat.

This happened to another member. It’s a simple clip that came unhooked/failed. Because there is so much under the seat, it is very hard for a owner to reattach. In any other car you could do it. This also happed on a few of my trucks before and it took all of 1 minute to stretch around the pad and reclip it. Yours is Merino? The other one that did this didn’t have the contour seats.

It's Merino contour seat and 95% of time was occupied by my 11 years old daughter. It was extended while being used. I hardly believe it happened . The driver seat is in extended position all the time without issue.
However we noticed it tonight, and it just happened that I got my car tinted yesterday. All I can say it's a coincidence, and I would blame on poor quality of the seat.

Your dealer will be able to fix under warranty and process the claim for you

Yeah that was me that it happened to. Dealer had to order parts from Germany, and they arrived about a month ago but I was overseas for a month and couldn't find the time to take it in. Gonna call them today to get it fixed. Pretty minor issue but irritating for a new $80k car.

No reason for it not to be covered by warranty.

This, 100%!

If your dealer didn't cover it under warranty, you'd have the worst dealership ever and would need to change immediately.

Had the same issue last week on our passenger seat.

White extended merino.

Being fixed next week.

Definitely annoying...

I had the same issue on my car that I just received Tuesday. Just stopped by the dealer and they fixed it in five minutes. The leather connects to a channel up behind the bottom of the seat. They can fix instantly and they are familiar with the issue. Nothing to lose sleep over for sure.
