TPM vs Car Door Sticker

So it's been getting cold here in MN, and on cue, the TPM warning came on. I filled the tires to what it says on the door sticker 33/41. However the iDrive keeps giving me a warning showing they're green, but says they should be 36/46. Which is correct???

If you got a TPM sensor warning and the iDrive screen was yellow. You MUST reset/reinitialize the system to start with a new base to operate on. If not you could be getting continual warnings if you didn't reset the system when you reinflated the tires. You can see example in the images below from my older CIC iDrive (yours may look slightly different but you'll still need to reset the TPM system if you got a low tire warning...just filling with air to proper PSI won't work alone).

Its kind of impossible to do if you don't have an air compressor at home...but the tire pressure should be set when the tires are cold...so like first thing in the morning or a few hours after you've gotten home so that the tires have cooled down.

The tire's temp and inflation will always be in flux while you're driving around...both temp and pressure will increase as you drive and as the ambient temperature rises, too.

The system has a range that is acceptable. It's when the air pressure falls below this range that you receive the warning. So yes, you will see other numbers than what is on the door jamb and the iDrive screen will show "green"...this means that the PSI is within the acceptable range based on the last reset/initialization.

Generally the correct pressure is door jam. Check you settings on tire pressure screen...the tire selection should be the tire mounted on the car. If a different tire is selected, recommended pressures can vary.

I understanding the resting, but that looks like an older idrive. (Not sure that's even an option on the g05.) The point is, iDrive is telling me to fill to a specific pressure different from what the door sticker says.

TPM Sensor Readings

The pressures listed on the door jam sticker are for cold tires. The 'recommended pressures' shown on the screen display take into account the tires' internal temperature which affect pressure.
