First BMW - 2020 x5 m50i
Hey everyone, new to the forum. This is my first BMW and I'm very happy with the purchase. This is a 2020 x5 m50i, with nearly every option except B&O audio and massaging seats. This has the 22" black rims as well as I wanted an all-black look.
I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has, or take specific pictures/video if anyone has questions. The video is to show the exhaust note. As noted in other threads, the cold start volume is much louder than normal. However if you step on it while in Sports mode, she definitely sings. Oh I'm getting so jealous of all you Americans still able to pick up your cars. Mine will have been on the same production run but is stuck in port with no dealers open in the UK).
BTW are the 742Ms available as a standard (paid) option in the US as we only have bi -colour in the UK. Awesome looking car OP! |

I was planning on custom ordering, but there was an m50i on the lot that hit 90% of what I wanted, so of course I had to walk away with it that day. Regardless of custom order, I wasnt planning on DHP based on some posts in this forum where drivers were very happy w/o it. |

My wife leased an X3 about 2 years ago, and I loved the quality all around. I really enjoyed modding my cars when I was younger and I like the fact that there is an active community as well as many options to customize the car. That, combined with an amazing package out-of-the-factory made this an ideal hobby car.
I'm looking forward to upgrading the audio in the car (likely starting with Bavsound subs) and small performance tunes over time (maybe Dinan intake and exhausts once available). The Bavsound sub install on the g05 is not as simple as prior models and requires a heatgun. I'm comfortable doing this work, and I'll be posting my process here in bimmerpost once I go through it |
